An Arizona mother and daughter duo took entitlement to another level as they laid claim to a parking spot in a Bloomingdale’s store. What should have been an open car park became coveted by the two women who claimed to be in their right. The duo teamed up and dramatically prevented another man from parking his car in the opening.
A two-minute video capturing the car park showdown was posted on Reddit. The video was recorded from the man’s point of view, seated in his car. A white older woman was seen in front of the vehicle, blocking it from parking in the spot. The man recording explained that the lady occupied the spot acting like a vehicle, preventing him from parking his car. “This lady right here, blocking the parking spot. You know, acting like a vehicle,” the voice detailed.
The car owner added that the woman stood there instead of moving away, claiming he was trying to hit her with the car. Suddenly, the woman’s daughter, who appeared to be in her thirties, came from the side to defend her mother’s actions. She argued that her mom was saving the parking slot for her by standing there.
The man, however, explained that the older woman couldn’t save parking space for someone who was not there. Dramatically, the daughter went to the front of the car and waved at the man, saying, “I’m here now.” The showdown continued, and both mother and daughter threatened they were going to call the police on him.
The younger lady went on to reveal that her mom had bad knees and was about to go for surgery. Meanwhile, the mom could be heard talking on the phone to a supposed police friend. Again, the man tried to let the elderly woman know that she was blocking him from parking, which led to her firing back at him. “I can stand wherever I want. It’s a parking lot,” the aged lady screamed at the man, jumping and pointing at the ground.
The Arizona mom made it known that she was ready to stand there all day long. However, the guy revealed that he would leave, not wanting any drama. As he left, he called the woman “the next Karen” before promising she would go viral.
The caption to the video read, “Got this submission today and I really am shocked we’ve got a mother/daughter doing this together like it’s a typical hobby.”
Reddit users quickly called out the mother-and-daughter duo, highlighting that they behaved badly. “What pathetic behavior for a mature adult!” one internet user lashed. “What a joke, both of them. Entitled! We need to find out where they work and give them a call.”
Another user penned, “She’s just out here acting like a vehicle.” A third netizen commented, “Never in the history of parking has standing in a spot ever been acceptable parking etiquette. The entitlement is alarming.”
A fourth comment read, “All that jumping her knees seem fine, the entitlement I can’t,” suggesting that the bad knee claim was a lie.
Although it felt like the vehicle owner lost out to the Karens, it is clear he has the last laugh as the Internet is out for vengeance. Their ugly deeds might catch up with them.
