Eric Trump shares his unreserved thoughts about Stormy Daniel’s testimony against Donald Trump in an X post amid hush money trial. On Tuesday morning former adult film actress Stormy took to the stands to detail her entanglement with Trump right from their very first meeting at a celebrity golf tournament in 2006. The actress reiterated their alleged sexual encounters despite the presidential aspirant’s repeated denial of the affair.
Eric Trump Defends Donald Trump During Hush Money Trial
Following the Tuesday proceedings, Eric Trump, who was present in court to witness Stormy Daniel’s anticipated courtroom appearance slammed her on social media. In his post, shared on X, Eric described Stormy’s testimony as garbage, which he believed had nothing to do with the ongoing trial. He wrote,
“Perspective: Sitting front row attempting to figure out how any of this garbage from 20 years ago relates to “legal” bills submitted by a long-time personal attorney being booked as a “legal” expense — but I digress.”
Going further, Eric also implied that the “15 Manhattan prosecutors” present couldn’t care less about the proceedings. Rather, they amused themselves with “the salacious show.” Concluding his X post, Eric Trump wrote,
“This is the intent, not the merits, nor the fact that this entire case is a massive extortion play.”
Shortly after making his bold claims on X, Eric Trump shared another post in defence of his dad, seemingly tagging the proceedings and Stormy Daniel’s actions as “Pure Extortion.”
Stormy Daniels’ Credibility Questioned in Hush Money Trial
During Tuesday’s hearing, Trump’s attorney, like Eric, believed the ex-president was just a victim of Stormy Daniel’s extortion. Portraying him in like manner, the attorney Susan Necheles outrightly asked the actress if she was simply looking to extort Trump. She also implied Stormy was making up her stories about the defendant, which she denied.
Notably, Eric’s dad Donald Trump faces 34 counts of falsifying business records in connection with his former attorney Michael Cohen’s alleged attempt to buy Stormy Daniel’s silence. The former attorney and personal fixer allegedly disbursed up to $130,000 to the former porn star to keep her mum about her alleged sexual encounters with Trump despite his marriage to Melania Trump.
Although Donald Trump has since pleaded “not guilty” in the hush money trial, Stormy Daniel’s team maintains the former POTUS falsified business records to hide the reimbursement of the disputed payment. Per the prosecutors, his bid to silence Stormy was intended to boost the politician’s 2016 electoral prospects. Additionally, they claimed Trump falsified the said records to “commit or conceal” a second crime, which is considered a felony. Until proven though, it’s Stormy’s words against Trump’s.
