All Space Pilots, it is time to prepare for the next space voyage. For those wanting to return to play more Everspace 2, you’ll have a reason soon, as Wrath of the Ancients, the game’s next expansion, is coming soon. This expansion promises to deliver even more story, challenges, and a bunch of enemies for you to face. The best thing about it is that you won’t have to wait long for it because we’re only a couple of months away from taking off again.

Everspace 2: Wrath of the Ancients Launches on May 12, 2025

You read that right. Everspace 2: Wrath of the Ancients launches on May 12, 2025. It will arrive on all platforms, which are Steam, GOG, Xbox, and PlayStation. If you want to get it, it will cost you $29.99 and will be fully voiced in English and German. In case you missed the release date announcement or just want to look at some of the things coming to the expansion, we’ve attached the video above.

Everspace 2: Wrath of the Ancients will take players to Cluster 34 for a series of new post-game quests. You’ll be able to discover new systems full of enemies, puzzles, secrets, and a bunch of things to discover. Furthermore, you’ll obtain a new spaceship with some interesting combos. To celebrate the release date announcement, Michael Schade, ROCKFISH Games CEO and Co-Founder, said the following:

“Space pilots only have a short while longer to wait until they can experience this exciting chapter of the EVERSPACE saga. This massive expansion packages together much of what our community has been asking for: new places to explore, more enemies to fight, an additional spacecraft to master, and gear to discover,”

Michael Schade, ROCKFISH Games CEO and Co-Founder.

On top of the release of Wrath of the Ancients, players can also look forward to a new OST of Everspace 2, alongside an artbook, both of which will be DLCs on PC. Console players will be able to get the Galactic Edition, which includes the base game and all of its expansions.
