Pokemon press conference
This article is over 6 years old and may contain outdated information.

We all live in a Pokemon world and want to be the greatest master of them all. To quote the song by Youngstown, and it’s turning out to be true because The Pokemon Company announced four new things trainers can expect from them in the next two years. During the Pokemon press conference, the company announced updates for Pokemon Go, Let’s Go Pikachu and Eevee, Detective Pikachu, and released a trailer for the upcoming mobile game Pokemon Masters.

The conference began with the announcement that Detective Pikachu will be coming to Nintendo Switch. However, as to when it will release remains a mystery for the coffee drinking electric type Pokemon.

Next, trainers will now be able to transfer their Pokemon to the cloud from Pokemon Go to Pokemon Let’s Go and vice versa with Pokemon Home.

“Pokemon began on the Game Boy and has since evolved (get it? ?) into an experience that exists beyond a single game or device. We wanted to bring everything together—connecting Pokemon with a variety of games and connecting players with each other.”

The cloud service system will launch in 2020.

Pokémon HOME isn’t tied to a single game system, meaning you can connect with Pokémon Bank, along with #PokemonLetsGo, #PokemonSwordShield, and #PokemonGO. It also features trading functionality. #PokemonHOME

The other 2020 release will add a new feature to Pokemon Go in the form of tracking your sleep. Pokemon Sleep will let you continue training your pocket monsters while you catch some z’s like the lovable road blocking Snorlax.

It will work along with their new Pokemon Go Plus. The device will be able to track how many hours you sleep at night and transfer it to the mobile app via Bluetooth.

The final announcement, Pokemon Masters, will put you against some of the most popular and well-known trainers in the Pokemon video games. The mobile game will release on Android and iOS devices this year.

The Pokemon Company will reveal more details in June.

What was your favorite announcement from the Pokemon press conference?
