The month of Blizzard showcases continues, and today we had one of the most anticipated ones: the Diablo 30th Anniversary spotlight. Instead of just focusing on one title, we got to see many surprises coming to all current Diablo titles, including Diablo 4, Diablo Immortal, and Diablo 2: Resurrected. And in case you missed it, we got some of the biggest announcements we’ve seen for the series, with some of them being available today. So, buckle up because here is every major announcement from the Diablo 30th Anniversary spotlight.

The Warlock is Coming to All Three Games

Diablo | Warlock Class Cinematic Trailer

There were already whispers around Sanctuary about the Warlock being the next playable class for Diablo 4, and today we got confirmation of that and more. The Diablo 30th Anniversary stream kicked off by announcing this long-anticipated class would arrive in all three games. It will be part of the second expansion of Diablo 4 when it launches on April 28, then in Diablo Immortal in June 2026, but the exciting news is that it is available right now in Diablo 2: Resurrected as part of the Reign of the Warlock update.

This is a monumental update for Diablo 2: Resurrected, as this is the first class to arrive at this legendary title after 25 years. This new update includes the aforementioned class, quality-of-life updates such as updated Stash Tabs and Customizable Loot Filters, and even an update to Terror Zones, which will make this game feel even newer than it already did when the remaster launched.

Diablo 4 and Immortal fans will have to wait longer to play this class. However, Diablo 4 will host a livestream on March 5, where the developers will showcase the Warlock ahead of its release.

Crafting an engaging endgame for an ARPG is never easy, but Diablo 4 has been experimenting and surprising us with every season. However, it seems that the Lord of Hatred expansion might have cracked the endgame code that balances player freedom and challenge.

The next big announcement of the Diablo 30th Anniversary spotlight was the War Plans system. Here, players will be able to create a playlist of activities from different endgame modes, including The Pit, Infernal Hordes, Helltides, and more. Once they pick the activities they want to do, they dive in to complete them, and accrue skill points that they can use in new skill trees belonging to every endgame mode.

Yet, that’s not all that’s coming to the endgame. Echoing Hatred is a new event that pits you against some of the most challenging foes this side of Sanctuary. Here, you’ll face infinite waves of enemies, with each one increasing its difficulty. This mode will encourage players to adapt their build and playstyle, offering an almost endless activity for the most hardcore gamers out there.

Beyond that, those jumping into Lord of Hatred will also experience a revamped skill tree for all classes, as well as the Horadric Cube, which allows players to further customize their equipment by adding or removing affixes, and even converting some items into Unique.

Diablo 30th Anniversary Spotlight

At the very end, the developers also teased that this isn’t the end of Diablo content, saying, “Oh my God, they are going to freak out at BlizzCon when we announce…” and then the video cut off. This cryptic message has already stirred the speculation cauldron, with many talking about other new classes, a possible third expansion, or maybe another remaster. The truth is that it is a mystery, but many gamers are extremely pleased with what they saw in the Diablo 30th Anniversary. Now, all that remains is waiting for the Warlock to land on all games and for us to start counting the days until BlizzCon arrives.
