Nintendo Indie World April 2024 Brings Different Animals and Cozy Games
While we’ve been accustomed to seeing several remake announcements, a few new franchise installments, and remasters, Nintendo’s Indie World of April 2024 was a breath of fresh air. If you missed it, here’s a list of all the announcements:
Little Kitty, Big City
Live as a house cat who ends up lost in the city, but instead of being scared, it’s your chance to do all sorts of cat things like scaring birds, climbing, and fighting other feline neighbors. You can even find costumes to wear around town, making it a cozy adventure with a few fluffy friends along the way. Little Kitty, Big City arrives on May 9, 2024.
Yars Rising
From the classic shooting game to destroy space barriers comes this reimagined edition. You’ll discover an alien conspiracy, infiltrate its base, and pass each level of this new platformer. While there isn’t a launch day for Yars Rising, the release window is set for 2024.
Refind Self: The Personality Test Game
If you are a fan of the MBTI test, you will love this game where you are an android discovering who he is in his world. Discover your personality based on your answers and the people or things you interact with. Refind Self: The Personality Test Game will arrive in the Summer of 2024.
Sticky Business
Set up your own business and sticker workshop from home. Design the illustrations, prepare the packages, and send them to your customers. If you’re tired of letting your artist’s frustrations out on Splatoon, try Sticky Business, a cozy game that is out already, along with its DLC.
Antonblast
Defy the clock against the rampage of this 32-bit cartoon-style platformer. Smash everything in your path with your mighty hammer and face huge bosses this November 12, 2024. Also, starting today, the demo is available in the Nintendo eShop.
Valley Peaks
Start your adventure to reach the highest peaks of this mountain town. Overcome steep mountains, sharp rocks, and gigantic machinery to place communication towers so the citizens can talk to each other. This first-person adventure will arrive in 2024.
Lorelei and The Laser Eyes
For lovers of mystery, puzzle-solving, and bizarre stories, Lorelei will guide you through the corridors of an odd hotel. Unveil the mysteries behind the red-eyed people and find out how you fit into the plot this May 16, 2024.
Europa
Explore the magnificent landscapes on one of Jupiter’s terraformed moons. Investigate the remains of an ancient civilization and discover what happened to the last human. This game will arrive in 2024. However, you can already download the demo through Nintendo’s shop.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Splintered Fate
The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles roguelike game released a year ago for iOS is finally coming to the Nintendo Switch in July 2024. Lately, this quartet of heroes has made a huge splash in the video game world, so trying a new experience featuring these heroes on the go is something we can’t wait for.
Cat Quest III
Get on your ship with a feline crew and sail the oceans for the Pole star. Play alone or locally with your friends. After watching the trailer, we feel this is a great co-op title to play with others, so if you’re interested, mark your calendar. It will launch on August 8, 2024.

BZZZT
Become a robot in this 2D-pixel art retro platformer game. Survive all kinds of challenges in the cyber world and bosses loaded with guns and explosive rockets. BZZZT arrives in the Summer of 2024.
SCHiM
Become a small creature of shadows that moves through the city among the darkest parts of buildings, objects, and people. Reach your destination, but don’t let the sun touch you at all. If you don’t have friends to play “The Floor is Lava,” this is your best shot at it. SCHiM launches on July 18, 2024.
Animal Well
In this new platformer/Metroidvania, you must explore the well full of animals and dangers as you traverse by using the light that radiates from your body. The traversal mechanics are fantastic and original, and if you want to try it, it will launch on May 9, 2024.
Duck Detective: The Secret Salami
Duck Detective is on the case! This duck is the best at investigating, talking to witnesses, and gathering information. We still don’t know why the Salami is a secret, but we’ll have to wait and play it on May 23, 2024.
Another Crab’s Treasure
This adventure will not be on the high seas because this crab will take you to the ocean’s depths in this salty journey. Obtain weapons from sea creatures or humans to take on other terrifying sea animals. This game arrives on April 25, 2024, but a pre-order is available now.
SteamWorld Heist 2
Gather your crew of steam-powered robots and sail the seas in search of the source of the sea pollution that causes rust in other robots. Survive sea battles in real-time, meet more robots, and assign them jobs. Start your heist on August 8, 2024.
