Married three times, Sylvester Stallone has five kids from these relationships but all three of his daughters come from his third marriage to former model Jennifer Flavin. The world gets to have a first-hand glimpse into the adorable family in their new reality show, The Family Stallone, which follows the daily lives of Sylvester, his wife, and their three daughters. Notably, the actor has been a loving dad to the trio, taking out time to celebrate their milestones over the years. He has also gushed about them on occasions on social media and in public interviews. In one interview, he admitted he shared a stronger bond with his three daughters, Sophia, Sistine, and Scarlet than he ever did with his two sons.
While this bond has undoubtedly made Sylvester Stallone a better dad over the years, it also takes him to extremes his kids would rather do without. During an appearance on Today on Wednesday, May 10, 2023, to discuss their new reality show, the Stallones opened up about how Sylvester’s overprotective gimmicks ultimately affected his daughters’ love lives. The actor’s second daughter, Sistine, admitted dating has been difficult for her and her sisters with their famous dad in tow. She divulged,
“He’s quite intimidating to most, and most of the time when they come over to meet the parents, they don’t necessarily return, simply because he’s just so scary.”
Sistine explained how, unlike her mom, who was more receptive, her dad never attempted to be nice and say a simple hello. In his defense, Sylvester admitted he put on the intimidating front as a means of protecting his daughters because he knew men and could not “trust their intentions” towards his girls. He added that he hoped the trio wound up as spinsters and stay home forever. Restricted dating lives aside, what else is known about Sylvester Stallone’s three daughters?
Sylvester Stallone’s Daughter, Sophia Rose Stallone
A curious trivia about Sylvester Stallone’s daughters is that they all share the same middle name, Rose. The first of the brood, Sophia Rose Stallone, landed on the planet on August 27, 1996, one year before her parents’ marriage. At just two months of age, Sophia was diagnosed with cardiac malformation. The diagnosis required her to undergo heart surgery to treat the condition.
After a successful surgery as a baby, Sophia grew up protecting her heart by eating healthy and avoiding strenuous exercises as she got tired easily. In 2012, the then-16-year-old underwent another open heart surgery, as the tissues put in years back had widened.
Despite her health issues, Sophia successfully obtained a degree in communications with a minor in entrepreneurship and film from the University of Southern California in 2019. Growing up, she nurtured an interest in becoming an entrepreneur and owning her own fashion and makeup line.
In a 2017 interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Sophia explained that to attain her ambitions and be on par with the likes of Kylie Jenner, becoming famous would work to her advantage. Yet she had no interest in following in her dad’s footsteps as an actor. So far, the icon has taken baby steps toward her overall goals. Aside from embracing reality TV along with the rest of her family, Sophia has done her bit of online influencing via her podcast, Unwaxed, and book club.
Sylvester’s Second Daughter, Sistine Rose Stallone
Sylvester Stallone and Jennifer Flavin‘s second daughter Sistine Rose Stallone was born on June 27, 1998, in Los Angeles, California. Unlike her sister, who shies away from the theatre, Sistine is keen on following in her dad’s footsteps and has done a great job at it. She made her acting debut in 2019, starring in the horror flick 47 Meters Down: Uncaged. She also has acting credits in two films, including 2021’s Midnight in the Switchgrass, where she starred alongside Meghan Fox, Machine Gun Kelly, Bruce Willis, and Emile Hirsh.
While she owes her showbiz success to her hard work and talent, Sistine has her dad to thank for giving her the nudge she needed to ace her early pursuits. She once recounted how Sylvester helped her read for all her auditions when she first took up acting. However, she dropped the practice overtime on her manager’s advice.
Ever the showbiz lover, Sistine also inherited her mom’s modeling genes. She signed with IMG Models in 2016 and, before long, snagged the chance to walk in her first fashion show for Chanel at 18. She was featured in Glamour Magazine that same year and went on to walk the Dolce & Gabbana runway at Men’s Fashion Week in Milan alongside her sister. Sistine also appeared on the cover of Elle Russia in 2017.
Additionally, she has built quite a reputation from airing details about her life and relationships on the podcast, Unwaxed with Sophia & Sistine, which she co-hosts with her older sister.
Scarlet Rose Stallone Is the Youngest of Sylvester Stallone’s Daughters
Sylvester welcomed his youngest child Scarlet Rose Stallone on May 25, 2002. As the youngest of Sylvester Stallone’s kids, the actor has featured most of her milestones on social media, from birthdays to major wins in her academic and athletic pursuits.
In one of his Instagram posts, Sylvester shared the moment his daughter won a track and field event at her middle school, St. Paul the Apostle, Westwood, Los Angeles. Scarlet graduated high school in 2021 and has since donned the acting hat. In one episode of her Unwaxed podcast, the star admitted she’d always wanted to act like her dad. Her dreams finally came true when she snagged a role in an upcoming Paramount+ series, Tulsa King, which also stars Sylvester Stallone. Additionally, she appeared in a Paramount+ Super Bowl commercial alongside her dad and sisters in February 2023. The ad marks one of her earliest works in front of the cameras.
As far as romance goes, Scarlet appears to be the only one of her sisters with an active dating life. During their May 2023 sit-down with Hoda-Kotb on Today, Sistine revealed her younger sister luckily had a “really nice” boyfriend despite her dad’s strict policy of humiliating their potential love interests. Scarlet confirmed this, explaining:
“He was great meeting him, and now they’re best friends.”
Sylvester Stallone’s Other Kids
Sylvester Stallone also has two kids from his relationship with his first wife, Sasha Czack, who he split from in 1985. His first son, Sage Moonblood Stallone, was born on May 5, 1976. He followed in his dad’s footsteps by studying film at the University of Carolina School of Arts. He became an actor, making his acting debut in the 1990 film Rocky V as the son of Sylvester’s character.
After studying acting for a year in North Carolina, Sage moved back to Los Angeles to star in another movie alongside his dad. The film, Daylight, premiered in 1996. Sadly, Sage passed away at 36 in August 2012 following a heart attack. The autopsy reports confirmed that the late actor and filmmaker suffered from heart disease.
Meanwhile, Sylvester’s second son Seargeoh joined the family in 1979. Seargeoh, who was diagnosed with autism at 3 years old, has led a life away from the spotlights, unlike the rest of his siblings. His parents have dedicated their years to the fight against autism. In 1985, they established a research fund under the National Society for Children and Adults With Autism. Sylvester’s second marriage to Brigitte Nelson, from 1985 to 1987, did not yield any children.
Fans would get to discover more about Sylvester Stallone’s family and gain insight into the lives of his three daughters on The Family Stallone, which premieres on May 17.
