After accepting his Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie, Ewan McGregor went on to answer press questions. He spoke about his emotional reaction to women in entertainment and how important it was for him to be a father to a few daughters.
Then, Kate from Access Hollywood asked if the actor could “tease any Obi-Wan” for the folks. Although he couldn’t say much, he did comment on the show’s process of wrapping up:
We finished shooting our series, and it was really, really good fun. I really enjoyed working with Deborah Chow, and I think it will not disappoint… I had a really good time making it and worked with some really wonderful people, lovely people. The new technology that we employed doing it is cool, and it was a different experience than making the original three films that I did. And I really liked it. It was good.”
He went on to chuckling after finally saying, “But I’m not going to tell you anything else,” leaving only with a smile.
Halston is responsible for Ewan McGregor’s first Primetime Emmy for an acting role. He also holds a Golden Globe for his performance as Ray Stussy in Fargo.
The new Obi-Wan Kenobi is scheduled to be released on Disney+ sometime next year in 2022. It will consist of six episodes, and it will feature the return of Hayden Christensen as Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader. No plot details have been disclosed as of yet.
