Who is Mothman in Fallout 76?

Mothman is a mysterious creature encountered in Fallout 76, an open-world video game set in the post-apocalyptic mountains of Appalachia. This elusive insect has various variants, such as the Stalking, Vengeful, Glowing, and Scorched Mothman. In addition, players may find unique creatures called Wise Mothman and Mothman Hatchlings during Daily Ops or Public Events.

Furthermore, being vulnerable to headshots makes them weaker than average foes, yet they leave behind valuable items when killed; Neurotoxic Dust, Torn Mothman Wings, Ballistic Fibre, and Oil are amongst a few. Finally, those bold enough to challenge the powerful Bosses can expect even greater rewards with exclusive loot items. Killing Mothman is a daily game challenge on February 09, 2023. Mothman spawns in the evening and uses powerful sonic blasts to damage opponents. The best way to take on Mothman is to use high-level weapons and armor to withstand these attacks. It is also advisable to bring along some powerful allies for backup.\

Once you have defeated the Mothman, loot it as you will receive rewards like Mothman Wings, Ballistic Fibre, and Neurotoxic Dust. You can also find Mothman around Blake’s Offering, Kanawha County Cemetery, and Whitespring Resort. Apart from this, you can also take on Mothman at random encounters.
