2017’s Zelda: Breath Of The Wild has been very well received by critics and fans. People have enjoyed the open-world aspect of the game and it is regarded as a masterpiece that makes the Nintendo Switch worth purchasing. Since the game has been out, fans have been asking for it to get its own show in the way of an anime, or at the very least, an animated short of it. It looks like people might have got what they wanted (kind of). There is a fan-made short of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild on Youtube by Youyang Kong and Qianya Yin.

The video has been getting pretty popular with at the time of writing this with over 300,000 views.  It’s been praised for its beautifully animated look and wonderful music. It’s about a minute long video that shows Link fighting a guardian while trying to protect a korok. While fighting, Link is blasted by the guardian and, like early parts of the game, it is enough to kill Link. But he is brought back by Mipha. Then using his Revails gale to sore in the sky and parry two separate guardian attacks and slays them both. Link hugs the Korok then credits roll, showing everyone who worked of the short. The creator of this short had this to say:

I spend about two months on finishing this animation with QianyaYin. Music by Sihan Yuan, Sound by Doudou. Youyang Kong

The Legend of Zelda franchise has in the past spawned a show back in the early 90s so it’s not impossible that we could see a show based on Breath Of The Wild.  This is due to the amazing fan-reception of the game plus the increasing popularity of this fan-made video. For now, Zelda: Breath Of The Wild is available on the Wii U and the Nintendo Switch.
