The new MW2 Blackcell Battle Pass was announced on April 11, 2023, and fans aren’t happy, to say the least. The latest battle pass offers players exclusive rewards, including over 7000 COD Points that can be used across both games, i.e., Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2. But let’s get something straight, the new UI for the Blackcell Battle Pass looks horrible, at least according to the MW2 community.

How they designed the Battle Pass

The new Blackcell Battle Pass aims to reward users with high-tier items, Pro-Tuned Weapon Blueprint, Finishing Moves, Vehicle skins, and much more. In addition, players can unlock loads of new items, including COD Points, operator skins, and more weapon blueprints. The new MW2 Battle Pass currently costs 1,100 COD Points.
But fans aren’t entirely happy with the new Battle Pass’s UI design. They’re having their fair share of fun at the expense of the design team over at Infinity Ward. The latest battle pass’s UI looks pretty flattened, to say the least, which, according to the COD community, looks pretty terrible.
One fan said you must buy the Blackcell version to get the correct aspect ratio for MW2‘s regular battle pass. But Infinity Ward has truthfully made navigating battle passes a bit of a hassle.
The old battle passes had their fair share of UI and navigation problems, but things have worsened, according to the Modern Warfare 2 community. We hope the Modern Warfare 2’s Battle Pass UI design team addresses this issue and patches it with a future update. But that seems a bit too far-fetched. Hopefully, they’ll fix the next MW2 Battle Pass for Season 4.
So, what are your thoughts on Modern Warfare 2′s janky flattened battle pass? Is it as bad as the COD community claims? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below. Stay tuned for more updates only on TheNerdStash.
