  • Two Tricks To Boost Your Gold Farming Experience

The First Descendant is a game that forces you to look out for different types of material for unlocking a weapon, Descendant, or even an item. However, once you’ve got all that’s needed, well, you’ll need cash. Not the real-life money, but the second-best currency in the game that makes the final step to every craft or upgrade: Gold. There are plenty of ways to farm Gold and Kuiper Shard in The First Descendant, but there’s one single special operation that’s both easy and rewarding.

You can literally farm Gold and Kuiper Shards by playing a special operation in Sterile Land called Kuiper Mining Blockade. Now I’ve also seen a lot of attention on the Anticipated Ambush mission on Sterile Land and how it gives you a pile of Gold on every run; but, that’s only if you play the game on Hard mode.

If you haven’t finished the game yet and you need an extra amount of Gold or Kuiper Shards to level up your gear, you can still farm at least 100k every time you beat this special operation. Each 2 levels you’ll get the reward, and don’t forget about the Gold loot the enemies drop when you kill them; that’s 1K each.

Farming more than 100k Gold on every run in a mission in The First Descendant is good, but you can make this even better by following one, or both of the tips below:

  • Play the mission on Hard mode.
  • Equip the External Components that boost Gold and Kuiper Shards.

The first one is straightforward. If you’ve finished the game, then you can have the luxury of farming super rare items and Gold more than usual. Of course, you don’t have to fight a Colossi or a bunch of Elite Vulgus to earn this bonus. Just complete the Anticipated Ambush or any other effortless mission on the higher difficulty.

The second tip, however, can also apply to players who haven’t finished the game to unlock the Hard mode yet. There’s a list under your Descendant’s reactor type that shows 4 slots for External Components. Now these parts are very easily found throughout the game, but who knew that other than giving HP and Shield bonuses, they can also boost your chances of farming Gold and Kuiper Shards in The First Descendant.

Pay attention to equipping the DEF Support Memory and the DEF Support Auxiliary Power on this list. These two parts are the ones that’d have the bonus on some of them. With both parts equipped, playing the Anticipated Ambush mission in hard mode gives you a ton of Gold and Kuiper to farm in The First Descendant.

The First Descendant is currently available to play on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC.
