Farrah Abraham’s 15-year-old daughter, Sophia, is proudly into her alternative look. With her mom’s support, she’s amassed nine piercings and often wears heavy makeup and edgy outfits. Asked about letting her daughter have so much autonomy at such a young age, Farrah defended her daughter’s creative expression.
I’m here to make sure my child’s seen, she is safe and she is supported. If those three things are always top of mind, then I know what I’m doing in the footsteps that I’m walking in my parent journey are right where they need to be for my child.

Farrah explained how “consent culture” informs her parenting of her teen daughter, noting that it’s about ” leading with that and allowing someone to have their will, their rights, their freedoms. And I think that’s just very important on maybe the littlest things, like piercings or tattoos.”
The former reality star also noted that she’s very comfortable with the fact that she’s raising Sophia in a very different way than she was raised by estranged mom Debra Danielsen. And while some people might think that the teen’s “goth aesthetic” is over the top, Farrah says she “loves” it and thinks its perfect for Sophia.
“I’m happy with whatever look she decides and what she loves,” she said.
The Mother-Daughter Duo Hit Coachella Last Weekend
Partying in the desert is a family affair for the Abraham women. Both Farrah and Sophia traveled to Indio, California, for Coachella, sharing scenes from the outing on Instagram. Sophia’s outfit once again garnered commentary. The teen was dressed in a corset-style top with a skirt for the desert festival.
The trip came shortly after the mom announced she and Sophia would try their hand at podcasting together. The project will be on Farrah’s Patreon, called “Fearlessly Female by Farrah Abraham and Sophia Abraham.” Fans are intrigued to see what subjects mother and daughter will broach in the candid chats.
