An Oregon mortgage worker managed to do what many are incapable of doing: refusing to engage with a meddling Karen and putting her in her place. For doing exactly what he was supposed to do, this man is now being hailed as a national hero.
TikTok account karenmagnet recently shared the interaction between Oregon worker Brad and the neighbor who refused to mind her own business. According to the account, the unnamed worker was in the area to inspect the vacant home of a “confirmed deceased owner.”
Despite previous inspections, the Karen named Sharon immediately questions the mortgage worker, asking who he is. After identifying himself and naming the reason he is in the neighborhood, the Karen continued her inopportune assault on the man’s peace.
Despite the confirmed deceased status of the owner, it appears that Sharon and another neighbor were trying to block the mortgage worker from taking pictures. Sharon tried to “reason” with Brad by saying that another neighbor already told him what was going on with the vacant house. Apparently, the man’s niece was in Las Vegas, as if any of that mattered.
She even had the nerve to ask how the worker could prove that the house was vacant if it was “full of furniture,” adding that “this is what I don’t get.”
Fed-Up Man Goes Off, Reactions
Finally, the fed-up worker had had enough. He asked, “Ma’am, why is it any of your business? Why is what I’m doing any of your business?“
The Karen attempted to explain her nosiness by saying that the deceased man had been a “good neighbor of mine.” Brad wasn’t backing down, saying, “That’s great. That makes no difference to me. I’m doing exactly what I’m supposed to be doing. I don’t understand what your problem is.”
Feeling the weight of the “Karenness” overwhelm him, Brad decided to walk away and continue his impression. He, however, quipped, “Appreciate the hard time!“
Most users, probably all victims of the Karen attacks, applauded Brad for his fortitude and resilience.
“Love this type of response from the young man,” one user commented. Another one wrote, “My favorite part was when he refused to argue.” A third one added, “Good for you. Those answers were great.”
The lady will most likely keep minding other people’s business. Hopefully, she will encounter another Brad and be shut down immediately.
