I know it might be too soon to talk about our waifu, but it seems FF7 Rebirth players don’t mind sending Chadley with her, given how much they hate him. We all remember this former Shinra intern from Remake who was there to give us powerful materia and some engaging combat simulations. However, due to his recent screen time, people don’t want to look at this character anymore. Personally, I feel the hate is too much, but the consensus is that Chadley has to join the Lifestream soon.
FF7 Rebirth Players Hate How Much Screentime Chadley Has
Rebirth features one of the best open-world maps I’ve seen in years. The level design is out of this world, and the pacing is perfect in every possible way. However, some people hate having good old Chadley speaking through their DualSense controllers or popping up on Cloud’s screen every ten minutes. In my case, I don’t mind having a companion. I’m used to having a flying creature like Paimon, a dragon that won’t shut up about apples like Vyrn, and I have a mother-in-law who talks a lot. So yes, my patience threshold is high, but not so much for the fan base.
Several players have taken to social media to express their hate for this helpful character. While the materia is more than welcome, and improving summons is fantastic, he’s a little too much. And if that wasn’t enough, we also have MIA, but it seems she’s still safe for now.
I find it extremely strange to see that one of the big complaints of the game is a secondary character. Again, I don’t mind the guy. It could be because I play the game with a Japanese voice-over or because Genshin Impact has made me resilient. Still, it seems to add a new annoying companion for a game, quite a common trend nowadays.
While several users have found ways to mute him, some would like him permanently removed. For those throwing hate all over social media, remember you can skip the cutscenes. One of the easiest solutions. Thankfully, he doesn’t play a huge part in the main story, so you can skip everything he has to say. But to those who want to do all the game’s optional activities, I say give Chadley a chance; I don’t think he deserves all the hate from the FF7 Rebirth community. Still, I hope Square Enix listens to the feedback and does something about it.
