Square Enix just released update 1.03 for Final Fantasy 16 and the patch notes finally add one of the most requested features to the game, along with other fixes, and some new settings. Final Fantasy 16 had a spectacular launch and is easily one of the best games of the year and fans are loving the tough-as-nails bosses. But some players have been complaining about how the extremely high motion blur can be quite nauseating at times. And the lack of a setting in the options menu to reduce, or turn it off, had some people up in arms. But this update finally adds an option to adjust the strength of the motion blur in Final Fantasy 16, or even turn it off.
Other than that, the update adds some new control options. For one, the joystick sensitivity can now be increased even further, and new controller layouts have been added as well. You can check out the complete list of patch notes for update 1.03 for Final Fantasy 16 below:
Final Fantasy 16 Update 1.03 Patch Notes
- Adds the following items to the System tab of the Main Menu:
- Final Fantasy 16 Motion Blur Strength:
Allows the player to adjust the strength of the motion blur effect when the character or camera is in motion. The default setting is the maximum of 5. This can be lowered to reduce the strength of the motion blur effect, or set to 0 to turn it off completely. - Player Follow (Movement)
- Player Follow (Attack)
Turning these settings off prevents the camera from automatically following the player while moving and attacking respectively.
- Final Fantasy 16 Motion Blur Strength:
- Changes the maximum setting of the Camera Sensitivity (Horizontal) and Camera Sensitivity (Vertical) items from 10 to 20.
- Adds three new controller layouts: types D, E, and F.
- Corrects an issue that affected the stability of some menus.
- Corrects some text issues.
- Adds the hashtag #FF16 when sharing screenshots or video clips on Twitter or YouTube.
