If you thought 2023 started strong with some big game releases, 2024 aims to do the same. During the State of Play of September 2024, Square Enix dropped a new trailer for Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, finally unveiling its release date. As you know, this will be the second of three games the company is planning that retells the classic story of Final Fantasy 7. While many would love to get their hands on this game, it’ll only arrive on PS5 at launch. However, we already know the CEO of Sony mentioned the company would try to release more PC ports, meaning more people might experience a new adventure for Cloud and his gang.

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Gets a Release Date for February 29, 2024.

On February 29, 2024, players worldwide will saddle up their Chocobos and travel alongside Cloud and his friends to a new adventure in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. After many gameplay trailers and speculation, Square Enix finally gave us the exact release date for Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. If you haven’t played the first entry, you can get both games as a bundle to prepare for Rebirth. The bundle includes the Intergrade Episode, which sees the debut of Yuffie in the game.

If you haven’t, we recommend you watch the newest trailer, as it shows many things coming to Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth when its release date arrives. Veterans of the series will spot some familiar characters and locations, which have been built from the ground up to go with today’s gaming generation. Besides that, this entry seems to have many more mini-games players can enjoy while roaming the outer lands of Midgar.

While there have been many Final Fantasy titles, the seventh mainline entry is the most beloved one among fans as it improved upon the already successful formula Square Enix had been using. So, if you want to see one of the company’s greatest titles, set the date for February 29, 2024, when the game arrives on PS5.
