Get ready as the Final Fantasy VII The First Soldier is about to open its doors to closed beta testers from June 1 to June 7, 2021. This beta test will allow players to get a firsthand look at the new battle royale game on mobile. It is now open for registration and will close on May 27. This is exclusive for North American players via Google Play.

In a video presentation today (May 7, 2021), Square Enix announced the closed beta date and gave additional new gameplay information. The new footage was shown during the broadcast, including a peek at a single-player campaign and a team-based mode. The team-based mode divides players into three-person teams to compete against other players.

Final Fantasy VII The First Soldier beta players will see how monsters surface on the field – like guard Scorpion and Tonberries. Players in the First Soldier game can face monsters to raise their level and gain strong arms and armor. The game also uses Materia, and players have the power to summon comets using strong spells.

  • Beta Period: June 1 to 7 Pacific Time
  • Sign-Up Period: Today from 6:00 AM to May 27 at 8:00 PM Pacific Time
  • Sign-Up Method: Through Google Play (Android-only, U.S., and Canada only)
  • More Details: FFVIIFS.com

We previously released this news in March, where we shared that Final Fantasy VII The First Soldier will have a simultaneous release worldwide. It will have seven different languages: Japanese, English, Chinese, Korean, French, German, and Spanish. The best news is all countries will have the same release date this year, 2021.

Although we do not know yet when the game will be released or how Square will monetize it, if you are interested in getting a head start, pre-register through the website HERE for a chance to participate in the upcoming closed beta, which will begin on June 1.
