Florida Judge ‘Halts All New Construction’ for Alligator Alcatraz, Forces Detention Camp To Close: ‘Corruption in Front of Our Eyes’

It’s a concentration camp, not a prison

Finally, some good news about an ICE detention facility has come up: that one is being forced to close. Well, at least, Florida Judge Anna Eskamani has issued a court order, stating that “The State of Florida must halt ALL NEW CONSTRUCTION” of “Alligator Alcatraz,” and no more new detainees are allowed to be put into the prison. She continued, giving those operating the place 60 days to close everything down and “dismantle the fencing, lighting and other infrastructure” as they move all the prisoners out.

PRELIMINARY INJUNCTION ISSUED ON THE EVERGLADES IMMIGRANT DETENTION CAMP!

Executive Director of Friends of the Everglades chimed in, saying that “This is a landmark victory for the Everglades and countless Americans who believe this imperiled wilderness should be protected, not exploited,” according to WPTV. It goes without saying that many politicians and plenty more American citizens strongly acknowledge that all these ICE detention center construction projects, like Alligator Alcatraz, are a huge waste of our federal tax dollars. So hearing that someone in authority is standing up to block Alligator Alcatraz being built is promising–for now. Unfortunately, many online users of both political parties don’t believe her court order will last.

“Let’s see how this ages weirdo. You’re not like us. You hate us,” comments a conservative. “lol 😂 some liberal judge ruled on this I guess…will be appealed and it will be overturned,” chimed in another. “Until Monday afternoon when it’s reversed,” laughed a third. Redditors reacting to the news were on the Democrats’ side, also felt the same. “Once again nothing is going to happen. The baddies are in charge,” one user said hopelessly. “Then an appeal court will just void it like they did on Trumps case just this week. Corruption in front of our eyes,” remarked a second. As the top-upvoted commenter puts it: “It should just be assumed at this point that they’re going to delay or ignore every single court order.”

It’s a sad reality that the corrupt administration is steamrolling over any opposition to its inhumane schemes for immigrants they deem ‘illegal.’ We can only be hopeful that this Florida judge’s attempt to close down Alligator Alcatraz is successful. Otherwise, we’ll just have to cross our fingers for any other future attempts to oppose the current extremist regime.
