A Florida man confronted his front desk employee after discovering that she had eaten his food order after it was delivered to the building.
The video made it clear the employee had eaten the food. This happened after it sat in the building for two hours without the man picking it up. The footage began after the confrontation was already underway, with the man appearing to discuss with the employee how she would pay him back for the order.
The video began with the employee asking the man for his Cash App information. He responded that he did not have one. He then asked if she had Apple Pay, but she said she did not. He then told her that he could have her send the money to someone else who used the app.
“I didn’t spend $50 on Mexican food to set you up,” he told her, referring to her eating his food. Instead of apologizing, the employee explained her perspective. She said she didn’t expect someone to leave food for two hours and then walk into the break room claiming it was theirs.
“But you ate somebody else’s food,” the man responded. He continued repeating that he had ordered Mexican food only for the employee to eat it. She appeared lost for words for a few seconds before saying, “Like I said, I waited for a long time for somebody to come and pick it up.”
Seeing her reaction, the man told her, “That don’t matter. It don’t matter how long you waited. That ain’t fair.” The employee said she didn’t want to get into a back-and-forth with him. She eventually apologized for eating the food and said she would reimburse him. The video ended with the man telling her that he would give her a Cash App account to send the money to, and she agreed. Along with the video, he wrote in the caption, “unbelievable.”
Viewers Left Shocked Over Florida Man’s Video
Many viewers were left shocked after watching the Florida man’s video. Many couldn’t believe the employee ate his food simply because he had left it there for two hours. “That sound crazy! Talking bout I waited for a long time! Huh?? It’s not yours to be waiting on!!!” one person wrote. Another person said, “doesn’t matter how he long took , it’s still his food.”
More viewers continued to express disbelief and criticize the employee’s decision to eat the food. “I honestly be wantin to understand people thought process behind stuff like this…like what would make you eat somebody stuff,” one person wrote. Another person said, “Idc if it was 15 hours don’t touch no food that’s not yours.”
The situation prompted viewers to discuss where the line should be drawn when it comes to other people’s belongings. This is particularly true when food has been left unattended for an extended period. Some also questioned why anyone would assume they could take a resident’s order simply because it had not been picked up right away.
