Some people just never grow up and learn how to deal with being told ‘no’ to what they want. Such can be said for 20-year-old Kevin Leiman, a Florida man who wanted a $110K BMW M4 — really, really badly. He wanted it so bad, in fact, that he drove his own car straight into the dealership he was visiting, crashing into the showroom in an attempt to steal the M4. Luckily, he didn’t get far away on foot before local officers found and arrested him.
The story goes that Leiman wanted to test drive the M4 at the BMW dealership, per WCJB. Unfortunately for him, he neither looked nor acted the part for testing-driving a $110K car, not to mention he failed to pass the credit check to give the high-end vehicle a spin. Police reports say that he tried to snatch the keys to the M4 before storming out of the dealership, but employees shooed him off. Not long after, he came barreling through the showroom’s windows in his car in a second attempt to grab the keys for the BMW.
“Sounds like he’s qualified to drive a BMW,” chuckled a Facebook user, reacting to the absurd tale of the manic Florida man. “On the bright side, he’s gonna get to test drive a Ford Police Interceptor 💁♂️,” joked another. “Imagine if he would have went to McDonald’s and the ice cream machine was down 😅,” remarked a third. It’s clear that Leiman is a spoiled brat who is still an immature child at heart. Now, he’ll learn the hard way in jail that he can’t always get the way he wants.
Redditors had some fun roasting the “classic Florida man” as well. “He went from shopping for a car to shopping for a lawyer all in the space of a couple hours,” quipped one user. “That is not how you should do a trade-in,” jested a second. The top comment, however, spoke in a more serious tone: “Yeah I hate to say it but if you don’t look and act the part, they’ll run a credit check on you before doing anything. Saves a f*** load of time.” Unfortunately, the BMW dealership saved neither time nor money from this customer, as the damages reportedly cost around $60K.
