Another day, another Florida man has been arrested for an outrageous crime, but this time, the backstory is tragic more than anything. The Broward Sheriff’s Office has detained 20-year-old Kamarri Sanders on account of being involved with a highway shooting on Florida’s Turnpike last June. The shooting resulted in the deaths of Beatrice Saintvil and her 4-year-old daughter. Sanders was accompanied by two men who had already been taken into custody. Instead of being relieved by the third murderer’s capture, people are pointing out the color of his skin in relation to the crime.
“No way this mugshot of this law-abiding citizen is guilty,” sarcastically remarks the top commenter of this Florida man news report on YouTube. “Another embarrassment to the black community,” comments a second. “Happy Black History Month!” mockingly joked another, referring to how February was chosen to honor all black people in US history. Several more commenters put in similar remarks, calling Sanders a typical “stereotype” or the “usual suspect” of the related crime. “Upholding stereotypes one deed at a time,” another individual scoffed.

Regardless of whether people believe this horrific murder to be racially related, everyone will probably agree that Kamarri Sanders and the other two criminals should be served justice. NBC 6 South Florida reported that the highway shooting took place back in June 2024 while Beatrice Saintvil was driving with her daughter across the Turnpike. Antoine Harris, the first suspect, was arrested in December in Miami Gardens, Florida, the same location where police captured Sanders. Jaquan Thomas was the second suspect, who authorities took into custody in Georgia for a crime unrelated to the Florida murder.
Surviving family members of Saintvil said that the mom was “the one who always brings us back together.” A loved one also said Saintvil was “a dancer, a party maker, she was a lover, the peacemaker of this house whenever something happened.”
