Florida Man Keeps Asking Stranger If He’s an ICE Agent After Hearing They Were Staying at Hotel: ‘That’s Just Weird’

One sided conversation only

A routine drop-off at a Florida hotel turned into a one-sided confrontation when a man who was filming from a nearby vehicle grew suspicious that the guest getting out of the car was an ICE agent.

The video was uploaded to X by the account @ClownWorld and shows the man dropping several bags, including a pink Minnie Mouse duffel bag and a silver suitcase, from the back of a dark gray SUV onto a luggage cart at the covered entrance of a hotel in Florida. Another man gets out of a vehicle and asks the guest multiple times, “Hey boss. You an ICE agent? You an ICE agent?” while the guest ignores him.

This guy was just loading his luggage onto a hotel luggage cart when some dude rolled up in a car and started asking him over and over if he was an ICE agent.

When he wouldn’t answer, the guy switched to Spanish and kept pressing him because he apparently heard ICE agents were… pic.twitter.com/d8f5eIfIdd

When the guest fails to respond, the man starts asking in Spanish, “Eres agente de ICE? No contestas preguntas o qué?” (“Are you an ICE agent? You don’t answer questions or what?”), he tells him.

He goes on to claim, “We know you guys are staying here at the hotel. You guys don’t have to hide,” and suggests the agents “put it in toy boxes” to hide their gear, according to the video’s audio.

The guest continues to ignore him for the most part while loading his bags and checking his phone.

Later in the clip, another man in a black shirt walks toward the hotel entrance from the parking area, prompting the first guest to begin recording him in turn. The video ends with shots from inside the filming car as it idles or moves near the entrance.

The Nerd Stash could not independently confirm whether either man was affiliated with ICE, and no law enforcement agency has commented on the video.

Internet Reacts to Florida Hotel ICE Confrontation

The video drew a mixed response online, with some commenters siding with the man doing the filming and others criticizing his approach. “That’s just weird,” one commenter wrote succinctly. Another was more pointed, writing, “Only complete losers waste time driving around harassing people and expecting them to converse with you. Hope they get what they have coming.”

A third defended the confronter’s instincts, asking, “So what if they were or are? What was he going to do?” and noting how the second man reacted once he approached the car: “Window up, shut his mouth, and drove off quick!”

Others pushed back on the behavior itself. “I wouldn’t want to answer any questions from you either, dude. Some people need to re-learn the manners they were taught as children,” one person wrote. Another warned of potential consequences, saying, “Great plan until you run across someone that doesn’t put up with your [expletive] and you end up on the pavement.”

The clip comes at a time of increased scrutiny of ICE, where encounters between immigration agents, alleged agents, and the public have become increasingly common across the country. Part of the problem, according to a Noticias Telemundo investigation, is that people have been impersonating immigration agents – and in 2025 alone, there were at least 31 confirmed cases of people pretending to be ICE agents, compared to an average of 6 a year in the previous decade.

At the same time, ICE agents have been ordered to operate in plain clothes and masks as they conduct operations, making it harder for the public to tell the difference between real and fake agents.
