A Florida nurse responds to concerns after an alleged news source claimed she was being sued for raising her house with wooden pallets. Her TikTok video has reached over 888,000 views and over 39,000 likes since it was posted, with many people relieved to hear it’s not true.

A news source has circulated on TikTok, stating, “A Florida woman spent over $500,000 raising her home 24 feet.” In the video, a voiceover says neighbors are concerned about the house and are even preparing to take legal action. The nurse clarifies that the source is fake. She says she did raise her home, but only 12 feet. And yes, she did this after the 2024 hurricane that flooded hundreds of homes. However, only a few clips in the video are actually from her channel. The nurse explains, “That is my video, not my house,” and that the alleged news source is using a “compilation of raised houses.”

Replying to @Randomname44 My house isn’t the 24 foot raised house on “wood pallets”. This and other compilation videos are stolen content used for quick, easy monitization of other people’s content #lawsuit #florida #house #compilation #stolen

The Florida nurse also clarifies that a local house was raised 24 feet. However, the house used cribbing, not wooden pallets. This is the house that was actually in the news, and is the one neighbors considered taking legal action against. She is unsure whether anything came of that. The voiceover heard in the news video is from a real news story discussing that house. But she says, “They literally just stole clips from around the internet that they don’t have rights to use.” They then pieced these together with the voiceover, but it’s “all stolen content.”

Many Relieved Florida Nurse Isn’t Being Sued

Many commenters express their relief that the story isn’t true. One says, “I have been wondering and waiting for this info! Yay, glad it’s not you being sued.” Another agrees, “I’m so glad you’re talking about this. I thought it was real.” However, some didn’t buy into the story for a second, such as one who says, “I have literally followed you from the beginning & knew that video that made was crazy & wrong.”

Meanwhile, some see a unique silver lining. They point out, “Florida woman means you’ve officially made it in life.” However, many in the comments are blaming AI for the misinformation being spread. One person says, “These AI ‘news’ segments are getting ridiculous.” Another agrees and asks, “Can we get rid of AI now?”

Despite the misinformation, the Florida nurse appreciates everyone’s concern and checks on her.
