Sometimes we find friends in the most unexpected places and at unexpected times. One Florida woman became a friend with a female police officer after she totaled her car. The woman and the cop made several TikTok videos together that showed how close they became in such a short time. This came after the police officer saved the woman by helping her. People had a lot of reactions to the event as some envied the Florida woman because they thought the entire situation was “cool” (without the totaling your car part).
The Florida woman, named Caiti, shared several TikTok videos with a female police officer that showed a friendship forming between the two. Caiti then provided an update where she described what exactly happened. She was on her way back home to Florida as she was in Athens, Georgia. Unfortunately for Caiti, she started her trip at around 5 am which meant that it was dark outside. This made it difficult for her to see the road and her surroundings. What made things worse was the fact that there was a lot of fog as well.
More Details About the Accident
Caiti then made her way to the highway in Macon, Georgia. As she started getting on the ramp to get to the highway, the Florida woman’s car collided with something. Her car then stopped moving completely and she was blocking the way on the ramp. She quickly found out that she hit a concrete cinder block. Caiti made sure to point out that her airbags weren’t deployed at the time of the collision. This means that she wasn’t driving over the speed limit; she probably didn’t want people to blame her or think she was driving recklessly.
The police officer Isn’t the only one who helped the Florida woman in this story. Five men were kind enough to get out and try to push the car so that the road was clear once again. As they did, Caiti decided to see the damages done to her car. Unfortunately, the right side was almost completely destroyed to the point that a chunk of a tire was missing; she provided pictures of this. After some attempts, a work truck came and helped move Caiti’s car a little bit to clear the road.
The Florida Woman and the Kind Police Cop
After Caiti’s car was moved, a female officer named Endsley was driving by and stopped to check up on her. As the two started a conversation, it became clear to them that they hit it off as the two joked about the entire situation. It’s a good thing that they find a good side to such an unfortunate event. The officer then calls a tow truck for Caiti and once the driver arrives, he decides that the car is completely totaled.
With nowhere to go, the Florida woman asks the tow truck driver if she can sit in the shop with him until her mom gets there. He refuses, and immediately, Officer Endsley offers to take Caiti with her on her way to pick up her grandchild and drop her off at school.
Caiti was excited as she described how she got to sit in the front seat next to Officer Endsley. Since the two of them were hungry, they ended up deciding to go to Dunkin’ Donuts. At the end of Caiti’s video explaining what happened, she shared how the officer’s kindness changed the entire situation and made it better. “I’m so grateful for her,” she said. In another video, Caiti filmed the tow truck as it was taking her car off the road.
Making TikTok Videos Together
The Florida woman then shared a TikTok video of the two of them at Dunkin’ Donuts as they were making their order. Due to everything the officer did for Caiti, she decided to be the one to pay. This shows you how kindness should be received and given back as well. “It’s women like you that we need,” Caiti says to Officer Endsley as they wait for their order. I have to agree with her on that. They make their way to the police station to eat their food there before saying their goodbyes.
Another TikTok video with the sound “cause it’s iconic and I love to do iconic s**t” showed the two of them while they were in the police car. She wrote, “riding around in the passenger seat of a cop car after crashing my car.” At least this entire situation made Caiti feel better since she lost her car. Insurance still has to look at it and decide the next steps from there. So, Officer Endsley’s kindness was definitely needed.
Under one of Caiti’s videos documenting the situation, Officer Endsley wrote, “We made each others [sic] day. I’m so glad you weren’t hurt. ‘we locked in ain’t no switching up.’ #girlpower.” She also left another comment saying “Me and my bestie.”
People’s Reactions to the Florida Woman and the Police Cop’s Friendship
As the videos went viral, Caiti and Officer Endsley’s friendship touched a lot of people. One person wrote, “THIS……these are the police that we NEED in our country.” Another TikTok user wrote “Are you kidding me she is the cutest.” Just like Caiti said that the officer saved her, one comment pointed that out by saying, “She was the good that came out of the bad.”
Many people pointed out how the situation might have been completely different if Caiti met anyone other than Officer Endsley. “You really got the best cop for this situation,” one person wrote. Another wrote, “She’s an ANGEL I love.” Honestly, if I was in the Florida woman’s shoes, I would have loved to meet someone like Officer Endsley.
