For Honor‘s list of characters and factions is massive. There are enough heroes to fit a variety of playstyles. Because of this, there are definitely heroes that are better than others. Across all five of the available factions, you can experience all sorts of playstyles. Let’s dive into our For Honor character tier list and name the best heroes in 2024, shall we?
Heroes Tier List – For Honor
Each hero in the For Honor character tier list is categorized into one of five factions:
- Knights
- Samurais
- Vikings
- Wu Lin
- The Outlanders
We split up each hero into five tiers based on the heroes themselves, not their factions. Starting from the top tier:
For Honor S-Tier Heroes
Hero | Faction | Type |
---|---|---|
Kyoshin | Samurai | Hybrid |
Jiang Jun | Wu Lin | Heavy |
Conqueror | Knight | Heavy |
Berserker | Viking | Assassin |
Shinobi | Samurai | Assassin |
Shaolin | Wu Lin | Hybrid |
The heroes featured in the S-Tier are all combatants we felt were the most balanced and most used in the current meta. Given their faction, type, and gameplay style, heroes like the Kyoshin and the Jiang Jun can survive anything put in front of them. The Kyoshin is at the very top of this tier because we felt that he was the most balanced hero class. Their sword fighting abilities are unmatched since they can use their swords in both the overhand and underhand grip.
For Honor A-Tier Heroes
Hero | Faction | Type |
---|---|---|
Kensei | Samurai | Vanguard |
Warmonger | Knight | Vanguard |
Nobushi | Samurai | Hybrid |
Black Prior | Knight | Heavy |
Gryphon | Knight | Hybrid |
Nuxia | Wu Lin | Assassin |
Raider | Viking | Vanguard |
Warlord | Viking | Heavy |
A-Tier heroes aren’t as powerful or as balanced as S-Tier heroes, but they’re still skilled. In more specific match-ups, some of the above heroes will even have an incredible advantage against S-Tier heroes. We put the Kensei at the top of this tier because they’re an incredibly versatile Vanguard. We’ve seen our fair share of them obliterating opponents in duels.
For Honor B-Tier Heroes
Hero | Faction | Type |
---|---|---|
Shaman | Viking | Assassin |
Shugoki | Samurai | Heavy |
Hitokiri | Samurai | Heavy |
Jormungandr | Viking | Heavy |
Medjay | The Outlanders | Heavy |
Afeera | Knights | Hybrid |
Zhanhu | Wu Lin | Assassin |
Pirate | The Outlanders | Hybrid |
Highlander | Viking | Hybrid |
The heroes featured in this tier are both not the best and not the worst. The heroes featured above do have their share of faults, but are still good in combat. The Shaman is at the top of the B-Tier because of their overall balance among all other heroes. They use a hatchet paired with a dagger that can make for unpredictable attacks. Unfortunately, you need to be well-versed in how to use them since they wear very light armor. Taking damage isn’t really much of an option.
For Honor C-Tier Heroes
Hero | Faction | Type |
---|---|---|
Warden | Knight | Vanguard |
Gladiator | Knight | Assassin |
Centurion | Knight | Hybrid |
Valkyrie | Viking | Hybrid |
Peacekeeper | Knight | Assassin |
C-Tier heroes are not the worst, but far from great. The Warden is considered by some to be balanced with relatively good defense and offense, but it’s not enough. We think that if they had crushing counters on both left and right guards, then they might be a tier higher.
For Honor D-Tier Heroes
Hero | Faction | Type |
---|---|---|
Lawbringer | Knight | Hybrid |
Orochi | Samurai | Assassin |
Aramusha | Samurai | Hybrid |
Tiandi | Wu Lin | Vanguard |
Ocelotyl | The Outlanders | Hybrid |
You should avoid all of the D-Tier heroes. These heroes will lose duels and are not balanced like in other tiers. The Lawbringer is at the top of this tier primarily because we felt that it was deceiving. Despite having a high armored defense, its offense is incredibly poor. It almost doesn’t matter that it can take a punch.
For Honor is available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
