Donald Trump, Elon Musk, Justin Trudeau, tariff this, and tariff that—this bubbling economic stand-off is chock full of drama, and it’s just getting started. However, in front of millions and essentially the world last night, America handed Canada its most embarrassing loss ever. You see, it wasn’t a tariff or any 51st State nonsense. No, it was Compton native Kendrick Lamar handing Canadian superstar Drake the most significant L in music history by winning multiple Grammy awards for his infamous diss track Not Like Us.
2024 will go down in history as having the most memorable and insane rap battle of all time between two giants at the top of the game. America’s own Kendrick and Canada’s Drake exchanged bars and songs over a slew of diss tracks that culminated with Kendrick’s Magnum opus, Not Like Us, winning him the battle and dominating pop culture everywhere for months.
The track that alleges Drake to be a pedophile is was nominated and won several Grammy awards last night. Here is everything he won during the annual music celebration.
- Song of the year
- Record of the year
- Best music video
- Best rap song
- Best rap performance
This led many people on the Kendrick Lamar Reddit page to post several messages about the Compton-born rapper.
“The audience singing “A minorrrrrr” was crazy work”
“Man that was amazing … them playing the exact part “certified pedophiles…A-Minor” as he walked up … something else, man …”
“Kendrick won 5 Grammys in one night when Drake has won 5 over his entire career, and for a song calling Drake a pedophile no less!”
As you can see, a rap battle track-winning Record and Song of the Year is unheard of, and it’s coming the week before Kendrick is set to perform at the Super Bowl in New Orleans as the headliner. This is a devastating blow to Canada, and Drake and his many lawsuits are probably foaming at the mouth from anger.
