Fortnite Is About To Copycat Call of Duty’s Resurgence Mode

Talk about authenticity

This article is over 1 years old and may contain outdated information.

Resurgence was introduced to the Battle Royale/Blackout part of Black Ops 4 in 2017, featuring a small map that allows for quick battles and less sneaky gunfights. However, the main point of this game mode is that your teammates can redeploy to the map as long as one of the squad members stays alive. No other titular rivaling Battle Royale shooters had added this game mode to their playlist before or after the Call of Duty. And that’s until the recent reports about Fortnite copycatting Resurgence in an iteration called the Reload.

Except for the classic PUBG that started all this, every BR game has its own set of features and game modes to make it unique. Fortnite has its building mechanism, and Call of Duty has modes like Resurgence, Plunder, and Lockdown in its sleeve. But that is just an old trend.

Some extra Fortnite: Reload information that was posted by @Jorge_Most_ on May 30th:

Reload will work like this:
As long as one of your squad is alive, the rest of the squad can respawn without having to be rebooted at a reboot van.

As reported on X by iFireMonkey, Fortnite is about to add a new game mode in its upcoming updates called the Reload. The description for this mode reads: “As long as one of your squad is alive, the rest of the squad can respawn without having to be rebooted at a reboot van.” This is the Fortnite Resurgence, for sure.

Many of the prominent Call of Duty news pages on X have reacted to this post with the same statement that Reload is, in fact, a copied game mode from Warzone coming to Fortnite. This is while others have super-positive takes on this matter, with comments like “Fortnite added resurgence Warzone is SOOOOO CANCELLED.”

After the No Build and Resurgence game modes coming to Fortnite, honestly, it wouldn’t surprise if they just added the loadout system in the game. At least Charlie Intel had an opposing repost on this one, calling out Fortnite to “be original or something.”

Amir is an absolute Call of Duty nerd, preferring shooter games more than everything. However, he does like to do uppercuts in Mortal Kombat and feel the NOS going through the engines in Need For Speed games.
