Wings of Icarus in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 is really getting out of hand with glitches. The Gods of Olympus brought this item to the Fortnite island and it has been causing all sorts of bugs and glitches. It was even nerfed on the second day of the season for being exploited. The exploit we’re going to look at now may seem harmless to many players, but it’s actually pretty OP. Now, let’s take a look at how players are using this glitch.

Players Discover Overpowered Wings of Icarus Invisibility Glitch in Fortnite

There’s a Wings of Icarus invisibility glitch and it looks incredible with Iron Man.

It hasn’t been long since the beginning of Season 2, but the Wings of Icarus brings with it a lot of controversies already. With the release of Myths and Mortals season, the Wings of Icarus received its first nerf. Players exploited this item quite a lot, especially in Fortnite Build Mode. In this glitch, players could easily break the structures below them by hitting the ground without launching themselves into the air, but luckily Epic Games immediately stopped this.

At the moment, Fortnite has a slightly less dangerous Wings of Icarus glitch, though it’s still pretty frustrating when you come up against it in competitive play. In this glitch, the Wings of Icarus become completely invisible and your character can fly as if they are wearing the wings. This makes it more difficult for other players to spot and shoot people exploiting this bug in the air. We explained the reason for this in our article on why you shouldn’t use Wings of Icarus.

When you equip the Wings of Icarus item in Fortnite, your character’s hitbox increases, so you’re much easier to shoot than when you’re normally using this item. However, if another player uses the Wings of Icarus with this glitch, they greatly reduce their chances of dying, which is what makes this glitch dangerous.

Many Fortnite players are having fun using this bug on skins like Superman, Batman, Ironman, and Goku. Of course, it’s a bit sad that nobody has done this glitch with Invincible or Omni-man yet. Well, we hope that we won’t see a “Due to an issue, we’ve temporarily disabled: Wings of Icarus” warning any time soon.
