It isn’t new to see Epic Games working with other companies, franchises, and even artists. However, this does not mean that these collaborations are less impressive; on the contrary, over the years, it started to get partnerships with brands with more recognition. This is why many were excited by new Fortnite leaks pointing to collaborations with Disney, even before the Fortnite segment during D23, a significant event for Disney fans. Mind you, we promise you’ll never guess which Disney franchises appear in these leaks.
Each Battle Pass, season, and event equals the chance to get unique skins to play the most popular Battle Royale. Along with the skins, they also come with accessories, emotes, and wallpapers. That’s why I’m excited about the possibility of collaboration between Fortnite with Kingdom Hearts, Gargoyles, and Disney’s Darkwing Duck. Imagine having a pickaxe in the shape of a Keyblade, a glider in the shape of Darkwing Duck‘s wings, or a gargoyle’s wings. I look forward to playing like Aqua or Kairi with a Kingdom Hearts-themed map. However, these are just leaks and rumors, and nothing has been set in stone yet (not a pun for the Gargoyles, I promise).
Many fans hope that with Fortnite‘s appearance at D23, new or returning Disney and Marvel characters’ skins will return to the store, as Deadpool and Wolverine are still available at this time. Also, having new weekly missions themed around the mouse franchise would also be more exciting. In any case, start saving your V-Bucks and make room in your calendar for August 10th at 11:30 PM ET if you don’t want to miss any of the news between these two companies. In the meantime, continue your fun in Fortnite, running away as Captain Jack Sparrow from Davy Jones. Also, Metallica’s music still pumps up the tension in every confrontation.
