Hyrule Warriors Legends for 3DS will, like its Wii U predecessor, include four main DLC packs, each with a number of new content to add to the game. These packs will be available through a season pass which will allow players access to each of them as they release, or individually. The season pass will become available for purchase in North America and Europe upon Hyrule Warriors Legends’ release on March 24. The content of each pack is as follows:
Master Wind Waker Pack, spring 2016
- Master Wind Waker adventure mode map with one new adventure battle scenario
- 16 new My Fairy costume pieces
Link’s Awakening Pack, summer 2016
- One new playable character
One new weapon for Linkle
A new adventure mode map with 2 new challenge mode scenarios
16 new My Fairy costume pieces
Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks Pack, fall 2016
- One new playable character
- One new weapon for Toon Link
- One new adventure mode map with 1 new adventure scenario and two challenge scenarios
- 15 new My Fairy costume pieces
Link Between Worlds Pack, winter 2016
- Two playable characters
- One adventure map with one adventure scenario and two challenge scenarios
- 15 My Fairy costume pieces
Additionally, three of the four DLC packs, excluding Master Wind Waker, will also be available for the Wii U version of Hyrule Warriors, though with slightly altered content. First, the Wii U does not feature the My Fairy mode, so it will not receive the costumes. Secondly, if the new characters Toon Link and Linkle have not been transferred from the 3DS version, the weapons contained within the packs will result in downloading a version of that character that can only use that specific weapon. The additional maps are also excluded, leaving just the weapons and the Hyrule Warriors Legends DLC playable characters.
