A phenomenon that has been occurring frequently for a long time is the theft of packages, particularly those from Amazon. Innocent owners would have their packages just outside their front door, but they might never get the chance to see them. This type of theft encourages many people to devise ways to protect themselves and the items they order. One solution is to install an Amazon locker where your packages can remain safe. Well, this is what a Pennsylvania resident did, but it didn’t exactly work out for him. In a picture posted by the resident, he shows his Amazon locker, but it’s not in a good state.
Instead of seeing a normal Amazon locker, you come face to face with one where the lock is destroyed. Understandably, the owner described what he was feeling and said that he was “pissed.” He also shared the backstory behind the Amazon locker, which made the situation even more frustrating. “Just upset. There weren’t even any packages in here, and it took my landlord 8 months to install this to begin with. Damn,” he wrote. The only good thing here is that the locker was empty. That means that the thief probably wasn’t delighted that his work was for nothing. I just hope that the Pennsylvania man’s landlord won’t need 8 months again to install a new box if they are looking to replace it.
People Reacting to the Pennsylvania Resident’s Destroyed Amazon Locker
Just as the Pennsylvania owner was shocked that his locker was destroyed, people felt the same. One person even wrote, “That’s pretty unbelievable. A special place in hell for whoever did that.” This made someone try to defend the thief by saying, “HELL?! For some mail theft!?!?!?” I mean theft is theft. It’s not like we should give thieves our well wishes. Other comments weren’t that serious. For example, someone wrote, “At least you have an extra place to store your garbage.” That’s one way to look at it. Another person said, “Just make sure to put it in an Amazon box so someone takes it away for you. Philly problems require Philly solutions.” This actually might work. A third person went the extra mile as they suggested “take an Amazon box. Fill it with those bags of people’s dog shit tape it up and put it in there.” What a lovely way to surprise porch pirates.
Someone else saw that the fact that the Amazon locker was easily destroyed wasn’t a good look for the company. “Not exactly a ringing endorsement for these products. Yikes,” they said. This made the Pennsylvania resident reply by saying, “Honestly, I had thoroughly enjoyed this product for almost a year. I have relentless porch pirates and was finally able to get deliveries with confidence. Until.” At least he enjoyed the locker for a while. It would have been worse if it were a new one that he didn’t get to use. Fortunately for OP, not everyone was suggesting using “dog shit.” Some people actually offered him advice on what kind of protective measures he should use from now on to protect his packages. Maybe he will also find a new purpose for the destroyed locker.
