NBA superstar LeBron James probably isn’t somebody the average person wants to upset. However, The King recently spoke on an issue regarding a Texas police officer purposely bumping into a college football player. The video can be seen on social media apps such as TikTok and is striving for viral status. The clip has around 280 likes as well as over 9K views, as social media users have some pretty interesting things to say about LBJ stepping in.
The TikTok begins with two Carolina players walking out of the tunnel and onto the field. Although the tunnel doesn’t seem to necessarily have a lot of space to walk around. As the players continue towards the field, A Texas State Trooper can also be seen heading down the tunnel towards the locker rooms. Yet, when numbers 27 and 8 for Carolina attempt to move out of the way, the cop plows into both of them.
Though, unfortunately for everyone involved, this was no accident. It seems pretty clear from the TikTok that the police officer purposely made contact with members of the opposing team. The two parties then get into a heated argument, full of intense body language and pointing. This clip is allegedly what prompted LeBron James to open up regarding the altercation.
LeBron James Reacts To Texas A&M’s Police Officer Altercation
The four-time NBA champion would take to X (formerly Twitter) to make his opinion known. “That A&M cop needs to be suspended! That was premeditated and corny AF!! He went out of his way to start some stuff. Do better, man,” wrote LeBron James on social media. However, LeBron was not the only person upset about this cop’s behavior. “You’re right, Goat, he was tweaking,” wrote one. “He’s lucky you weren’t there,” another joked. Finally, one other comment stated, “An apology isn’t enough.” It would seem as though the internet is pretty fired up about this whole ordeal.
While no official punishment has been handed down to the Texas Law Enforcement officer, he was, at the very least, relieved from his game-day responsibilities following the altercation. LeBron James has always been a very outspoken athlete since joining the NBA back in 2003. From then on, LBJ has opened up about numerous topics throughout his long career. Hopefully, some kind of action will be taken against the police officer for his unacceptable behavior. At the end of the day, it was a football game and nothing more; it’s really just not that deep.
