Wedding dress fittings can be emotionally charged moments, especially for brides who have spent months planning and thousands of dollars trying to find the perfect gown. You can find people making last-minute changes to their dress because they are nervous about the final design that will end up in their wedding photos. That uncertainty is usually understood as part of the process. But according to one woman in Florida, a bridal stylist got a bit “aggressive” with her when she tried to discuss potential modifications she would like to make to her wedding gown.
Here’s What Happened
Based on the woman’s TikTok posts, she had spent around $10,000 on her Galia Lahav wedding dress and had reached out to the boutique in advance to ask whether certain adjustments might still be possible. She said she was told that she could come in to discuss the potential changes she had in mind, even though the gown was already in production.
When the woman arrived and was fitted into a dress, she spoke up about wanting to have her train extended. But almost immediately, the stylist assisting her responded sharply that she was “asking for a lot.” The employee also told her that her dress was already in production and that she would need to check what changes were possible and how much they would cost. “I have to find these things out, is what I’m saying to you… Because your gown is in production, I keep trying to explain that to you,” the stylist said.
The bride looked like she was caught off guard by how forceful the conversation had become and mostly responded with quiet acknowledgements as she tried to process what was happening. She said she felt overwhelmed in that moment and was unable to push back or fully advocate for herself. Eventually, the woman asked for someone else to assist her, and the staff member who took over appeared a lot calmer and helped walk her through the modifications she wanted without the same level of intensity.
More on What Happened
Months later, after her wedding had already taken place without issue, the woman recently decided to share footage from the fitting on TikTok, and it quickly went viral, gaining millions of views and hundreds of thousands of likes. This attention prompted a public response from Galia Lahav. In the comments section of the woman’s post, the brand issued an apology, stating that the experience did not reflect its values and confirming that the stylist involved was no longer working with the company.
However, the bride revealed that before the video even went viral, she had already reached out privately to the brand to let them know about what she went through. She said the initial response she received felt generic and that she never received a proper apology at the time.
Netizens React to the Florida Bride’s Experience
In the comments, many netizens were very critical of the stylist’s behavior. “The attitude is INSANE,” one person wrote. Another exclaimed, “WHY IS SHE SO LOUD. DO WE HAVE A PROBLEM?!” Someone else said, “I can’t stand when people act like you’re inconveniencing them for doing their job!”
Some commenters, however, questioned whether the tension stemmed from misunderstandings about what changes are possible once a gown is already in production. One comment read, “So I heard “I’ve already told you” I think she might have been overstimulated by you not listening…sometimes people hit a breaking point.” Another viewer added, “The gown was ordered and in production, so was this a final fitting!? I would be frustrated too. Minor alterations are do-able, but you’re literally trying to reconstruct the gown??”
