Emilia Clarke is best known for her role in HBO’s Game of Thrones, where she played Daenerys Targaryen. However, she admitted that she had not watched the spin-off series House of the Dragon. HOTD is a series about Deanerys’ ancestors, so fans think it’s kind of strange Clarke wouldn’t want to watch it. Although the actress has not watched it, it is not due to the fact she had a bad time on set.
Bang Premier reports that Emilia Clarke has very fond memories of being on the Game Of Thrones set. However, due to that fact, the London native believes it would be strange to watch a spin-off series. Clarke is happy that the show is doing so well and loves that it’s so popular again.
Emilia Clarke Will Not Be Watching House of the Dragon
Clarke says, “I really do fully support the entire thing and everyone who’s made it, and it’s beautiful how successful it’s been. It’s absolutely amazing.”
Many fans were upset by the way Game Of Thrones ended, as well as the fate of Daenerys Targaryen. Although it seems like House of the Dragon has learned from those mistakes. It helps that the lore for HOTD is already laid out for the showrunners.
Emilia Clarke also stated that it would be like going to a high school reunion if she were to watch House of the Dragon. However, without her portrayal of Daenerys Targaryen, they may not even be a HOTD series.
Clarke’s performance was crucial to Game of Thrones’ popularity. Without her, the franchise may have faded after the controversial ending. Fans of the GOT books should be overjoyed with how popular the TV series is.
