Platinum Games has finally pulled back the curtain on gameplay for upcoming action game Scalebound.

The footage shows main protagonist and dragon tamer, Drew, and his dragon sidekick taking on a group of soldiers that have them surrounded. Drew will be able to fight enemies with a sword and a bow and arrow while also ordering the dragon to destroy objects in the world as well as attack enemies.

The demo ends with Drew and his dragon taking on a giant boss. Drew is able to set up a devastating finisher that sees the dragon start launching fireballs at the boss and destroying it in the process. Along with the demo came the announcement that Scalebound will feature four-player co-op. Check out the trailer to see the gameplay and see the action in motion.

Scalebound was revealed at Microsoft’s E3 2014 conference where it was revealed that the game is being developed by Platinum Games and directed by Hideki Kamiya. The game will transport players to a distant, hostile world. Players will have to form a bond with dragon to take on normal enemies and giant sized monsters.
