Oh, bother….Grab the tissues and hug your favorite teddy bear because the pure nostalgia of the newest Christopher Robin trailer will leave you tearful. The first full-length trailer shows Pooh and the rest of the gang, Eeyore, Piglet, Tigger, Kanga, Roo, and Rabbit, coming to the real world!
As the trailer shows, Christopher Robin, played by Ewan McGregor, is struggling with creating a balance between his family and his job. When he needs his old pal more than ever, Pooh makes an appearance in a park in London. Needing Christopher Robin’s help, the two set off in search of the rest of the gang from The 100 Acre Wood. But, Pooh and the gang quickly discover that Christopher Robin is the one truly in need of help, and they march into London for a new, exciting adventure!
On Thursday, Disney announced on Twitter that the first full-length trailer for Christopher Robin would drop during The Ellen Show on Friday, May 25. The tweet also shared the film’s first poster, which showcases Christopher Robin surrounded by Pooh, Piglet, Eeyore, and Tigger. Due to the live-action nature of the film, Pooh and his friends are all snuggly, love-worn stuffed animals instead of cartoon creations.
With Ewan McGregor leading the pack, the live-action version of animated favorite has an excellent crew voicing the cuddly creatures. Jim Cummings continues to lend his voice to Pooh and Tigger (he’s been voicing the characters since the very beginning); Brad Garrett (Everybody Loves Raymond) mopes along with Eeyore; The Doctor Peter Capaldi voices the responsible, yet cranky, Rabbit; Toby Jones, Sophie Okonedo, and Nick Mohammed all make appearances as well.
Christopher Robin is set to release on August 3, 2018. Are you looking forward to this live-action film? Let us know in the comments below, and keep coming back to The Nerd Stash for all of your nerdy news and needs!
