The much-acclaimed game Gears 5 has some old favorites coming back to the series and some news faces as well. Dave Bautista is set to be a playable character for Gears 5. Gears 5 is bringing back Marcus, JD, Del, and Kait to name a few. But, Dave Bautista the WWE superstar and guardian himself will be playable in the game. The news comes thanks to Bautista’s Twitter page. The tweet showcases Bautista wearing Marcus Fenix’s armor as a cosplay. To play as Bautista, players will have to play any version of Gears 5 starting September 15 and ending October 28. Gears 5 will have to be played with Xbox Game Pass for this offer to work. Xbox Game Pass has been the way for Xbox players to get games via downloads from cloud storage. It includes many great titles and not just first-party Xbox titles either.
It is unclear whether Bautista will be a character in the story mode of Gears 5 or as a playable character for multiplayer. Microsoft has been working with Bautista’s family of WWE for quite some time now. Xbox even partnered with his gaming channel UpUpDownDown. All this partnership though isn’t going to waste for the WWE. They are planning to bring the “Clash of Champions” thanks to the Xbox App. Players who don’t have the Xbox App can subscribe to WWE through the Xbox App and watch the Clash of Champions with the subscription.
