General Hospital has created many iconic soap opera couples over the decades. Some of the show’s famous pairings include Luke and Laura Spencer, and Sonny Corinthos and Brenda Barrett. The writers are always chemistry testing with characters to see who’d make a good match. They might have found their new couple with Jason Morgan and Anna Devane.
The two have been spending a lot of time together lately working on police cases. Recently, they teamed up for a mission to rescue Lucky Spencer. However, the duo found themselves in danger when Lucky’s captor Sidwell offered a proposition. Sidwell suggested a game of poker with Jason, Anna, Lucky, and Holly Sutton; where someone would die, depending on the winner. Jason threw the game so Lucky could win and escape with Holly.
Jason and Anna were then taken to a cell awaiting their impending doom. As Anna panicked about the thought of dying, Jason surprised her by kissing her.
General Hospital Fans Disgusted by Jason and Anna’s Kiss
Anna wasn’t the only one shocked by Jason’s kiss. Viewers were left stunned by the liplock, which is garnering mostly negative reactions. On a Soaps.com forum, General Hospital fans blasted the idea of the new couple.
That was definitely not necessary.
Another commenter thinks there’s a logical explanation for the kiss.
It was weird in the sense that Jason looked back and then initiated it, as if he was just doing it for show because somebody was coming or whatever. I guess we’ll see soon.
One fan opposes the idea of the hitman hooking up with his former girlfriend’s mother.
I sure hope it was for show because I can’t take another sickening couple. How revolting to make out with someone your child dated.
While most fans hate the pairing, a few are supportive of the couple.
Oddly, it didn’t bother me…I want to see where it goes and if/how it gets complicated for them.

The new couple seems a little awkward since Jason was in a relationship with Anna’s late daughter Robin Scorpio. Having him become romantically involved with Robin’s mother might seem cringeworthy. However, as with soap operas, they’re always trying out new things.
