General Hospital is writing off another beloved character. So far this year, the soap opera has said goodbye to Spencer Cassadine and Blaze Rogers, just to name a couple. Now, Violet Finn is the next character who will leave Port Charles.
Violet is one of the show’s youngsters who won over viewers with her adorable personality. This year has been difficult for the girl and her family. In May, her grandfather Gregory Chase passed away after a battle with ALS. A few weeks later, her father Hamilton Finn left town to enter rehab for alcohol addiction.
During Finn’s absence, Violet has been staying with Harrison Chase and Brook Lynn Quartermaine. But with Finn now out of rehab, her living arrangement will change.
On the October 18th episode, the young girl learned Finn wants her to move to Seattle with him. Although she was upset about leaving her aunt and uncle, she was excited about reuniting with her dad.
General Hospital Fans React to Violet’s ‘Sad’ Exit
After Finn’s departure, viewers were happy Violet remained on the show. Her interactions with Chase, Brook Lynn, and Tracy Quartermaine have been delightful to watch.
But her presence at the Quartermaine mansion will be missed as she prepares to move to Seattle.
General Hospital’s decision to write off the character shocked fans, who expressed their grievances on X.
It’s sad to see this sweet girl leave.

Such a shame to lose another wonderful character! Should have never let Finn leave!!
One fan criticized the show for getting rid of her:
Shame on GH for getting rid of Violet! She is a bright spot on this show!
Although Violet is set to depart Port Charles for Seattle, the show might have a twist in store. An issue could arise with Finn where Violet can’t join him, and her stay at the Quartermaine mansion is prolonged. Or Brook Lynn and Chase, worried about Finn’s state of mind, could sue for custody of Violet, thus setting up a potential return.
Whatever happens with Violet, it’ll be emotional for her and for General Hospital fans.
