As the Chief Justice of the Court of Fontaine, Neuvillette is in charge of all legal matters and maintaining peace in his nation. In-game, he appears as a compelling 5-star catalyst user, being able to use the Hydro element without a vision. However, because of his position, Neuvillette has access to Fontaine’s best builds, weapons, and guards for his team in Genshin Impact. Many players want him on their teams because he already showed his immense power by taking down a Fatui Harbinger effortlessly.

The Best Artifacts for Neuvillette

In Genshin Impact, Neuvillete is always calm, but he also shows that if he needs to take down an enemy, he has the build to do it, and these are his best sets:

Marechaussee Hunter2-Pieces: Normal and Charged Attack DMG +15%.
4-Pieces:  When current HP increases or decreases, CRIT Rate will be increased by 11% for 5s. Max 3 stacks.
Heart of Depth2-Pieces: Hydro DMG Bonus +15%.
4-Pieces: After using Elemental Skill, increases Normal Attack and Charged Attack DMG by 30% for 15s.
Wanderer’s Troupe2-Pieces: Increases Elemental Mastery by 80.
4-Pieces: Increases Charged Attack DMG by 35% if the character uses a Catalyst or a Bow.

Neuvillette benefits from the effects of Marechaussee Hunter because of his HP mechanic; plus, with this set, he gets a DMG and CRIT DMG boost. This Hydro dragon focuses on using Charged Attacks, so Wanderer’s Troupe offers a DMG boost to his torrents. If you want to take advantage of the Hydro element, opt for Heart of Depth for the Hydro DMG bonus and buffs after Neuvillette uses his Elemental Skill.

The Best Weapons

As the highest authority of justice in Fontaine, Neuvillette has always been very attached to the law books, not only to apply them to the citizens but also to use them as weapons like:

Tome of the Eternal Flow (5-Star)HP is increased by 16%. When current HP increases or decreases, Charged Attack DMG will be increased by 14% for 4s. Max 3 stacks. This effect can be triggered once every 0.3s. When the character has 3 stacks or a third stack’s duration refreshes, 8 Energy will be restored. This Energy restoration effect can be triggered once every 12s.
Sacrificial Jade (4-Star)When not on the field for more than 5s, Max HP will be increased by 32% and Elemental Mastery will be increased by 40. These effects will be canceled after the wielder has been on the field for 10s.
Lost Prayer to the Sacred Winds (5-Star)Increases Movement SPD by 10%. When in battle, gain an 8% Elemental DMG Bonus every 4s. Max 4 stacks. Lasts until the character falls or leaves combat.

Tome of the Eternal Flow is the Signature weapon of Neuvillette in Genshin Impact, so this character and his build benefit greatly from the buff for his HP and Charged Attack. Sacrificial Jade also improves HP, but using Elemental Reactions helps more because of the increased Elemental Mastery and CRIT Rate. As for Lost Prayer To The Sacred Winds, it provides DMG and improves the CRIT rate.

Are Neuvillette’s Constellations a Must-Have?

Constellations are not crucial, but for Neuvillette, they can make his attacks and teams more efficient against Genshin Impact‘s enemies. These are the best Constellations for the Chief of Justice:

C1 Venerable InstitutionWhen Neuvillette takes the field, he will obtain 1 stack of Past Draconic Glories from the Passive Talent “Heir to the Ancient Sea’s Authority.” You must first unlock the Passive Talent “Heir to the Ancient Sea’s Authority.” Additionally, his interruption resistance will be increased while using the Charged Attack Empowerment: Legal Evaluation and the Charged Attack: Equitable Judgment.
C6 Wrathful RecompenseWhen using Charged Attack: Equitable Judgment, Neuvillette can absorb nearby Sourcewater Droplets in an AoE. Each absorbed Droplet will increase the duration of Charged Attack: Equitable Judgment by 1s. Additionally, when Equitable Judgment hits opponents, it will fire off 2 additional currents every 2s, each of which will deal 10% of Neuvillette’s Max HP as Hydro DMG. DMG dealt this way will count as DMG dealt by Equitable Judgment.

Neuvillette is an easy target for top interrupts, so with his C1, you can use his Charged Attack without worrying about enemies preventing you from attacking; plus, it benefits double-Hydro team comps. His C6 helps absorb Sourcewater Droplets during Charged Attack more efficiently, and you’ll have 2 additional torrents.

The Best Team and Rotation

Neuvillette relies on teams of specialized guards and enforcers to defend the Hydro nation but has also worked with other warriors such as:

Vaporize (F2P)Electro-Charged (F2P)
Neuvillette- Main DPS
Xiangling – Sub-DPS
Kazuha – Sub-DPS
Bennett – Support
Neuvillette – Main DPS
Fischl – Sub-DPS
Beidou – Sub-DPS
Sucrose – Support

It is best to start with Support or Sub-DPS characters to begin accumulating buffs. I start with Bennett’s Burst or Fischl’s Elemental Skill to create Elemental Reactions. Then, continue with Beidou’s Shield or Xiangling to apply Pyro. Finally, activate the Anemo Swirl before switching to your Hydro DPS. Neuvillete will use his Elemental Skill until he gathers enough orbs to activate his Charged Attack. Then, use his Elemental Blast before finishing with another Charged Attack.

Remember that Fontaine’s Chief Justice loses life when using his Charged Attacks. Therefore, you must have a healer to make Neuvillettes’s build and team comp in Genshin Impact shine. You can’t go wrong with Electro or Vaporize for Elemental Reactions, although Hyperbloom or Freeze are also excellent alternatives. This way, you’ll get the most out of this Fontaine character.
