As an experienced dancer of the Zubayr Theater, Nilou knows precisely how to keep the spotlight on her. Between fluid and elegant movements, Nilou demonstrates how she takes advantage of the build she created with her theater team to captivate the audience of Genshin Impact. This dancer is the queen of Sumeru’s entertainment and possesses the grace of the goddess of flowers herself.
The Best Artifacts for Nilou
Among the items of Genshin Impact‘s theater, Nilou learned to manage her build with these elements:
Tenacity of the Millelith & Vourukasha’s Glow | 2-Pieces each: HP +20% and HP +20%. |
Vourukasha’s Glow | 4-Pieces: Elemental Skill and Elemental Burst DMG will be increased by 10%. After the equipping character takes DMG, the aforementioned DMG Bonus is increased by 80% for 5s. This effect increase can have 5 stacks. The duration of each stack is counted independently. These effects can be triggered even when the equipping character is not on the field. |
Tenacity of the Millelith & Gilded Dreams | 2-Pieces each: HP +20% and Elemental Mastery +80. |
Nilou shines most brightly with Hydro and Dendro equipment as she changes Dendro Cores into Bountiful Cores, which are stronger. Also, this talent and her kit scale with HP%, so using Tenacity of the Millelith and Vourukasha’s Glow is your best option. However, Nilou also works excellently with Elemental Reactions, so Vourukasha’s Glow and Gilded Dreams help her constantly use her skills to improve her reactions.
The Best Weapons
These are the best weapon options for this dancer:
Key of Khaj-Nisut (5-Star) | HP increased by 20%. When an Elemental Skill hits opponents, you gain the Grand Hymn effect for 20s. This effect increases the equipping character’s Elemental Mastery by 0.12% of their Max HP. This effect can trigger once every 0.3s. Max 3 stacks. When this effect gains 3 stacks, or when the third stack’s duration is refreshed, the Elemental Mastery of all nearby party members will be increased by 0.2% of the equipping character’s max HP for 20s. |
Freedom-Sworn (5-Star) | Increases DMG by 10%. When characters with Freedom-Sworn trigger Elemental Reactions, they gain a Sigil of Rebellion (once every 0.5s). This triggers even if they aren’t on the field. When you reach 2 Sigils, they will be consumed, which grants nearby party members 20% ATK and 16% Normal, Charged, and Plunging Attack DMG for 12s. Once triggered, you gain no Sigils for 20s. The same buffs from the Millennial Movement series do not stack. |
The Dockhand’s Assistant (4-Star) | When the wielder is healed or heals others, they will gain a Stoic’s Symbol for 30s, max 3 Symbols. Upon Elemental Skill or Burst usage, consume all Symbols to get the Roused effect for 10s. For each Symbol consumed, gain 40 Elemental Mastery, and after 2s, restore 2 Energy per Symbol. The Roused effect can be triggered once every 15s, and Symbols can be gained even when the character is off-field. |
The best strategy in Genshin Impact for any team or build of Nilou is to take advantage of her Bountiful Core DMG, and for that, she needs HP% Bonus; that’s why Key of Khaj-Nisut is ideal for her or any other character with talents calling with HP%. The Dockhand’s Assistant is a more viable F2P option that also has a bonus in HP%.
Are Nilou’s Constellations a Must?
No Constellation is a must, but they help improve the kit of any of the characters. In Nilou’s case, her best Constellations are:
C1 Dance of the Waning Moon | Dance of Haftkarsvar will be enhanced as follows:-Luminous Illusion DMG is increased by 65%.-The Tranquility Aura’s duration is extended by 6s. |
C2 The Starry Skies Their Flowers Rain | After characters affected by the Golden Chalice’s Bounty deal Hydro DMG to an opponent, that opponent’s Hydro RES will be decreased by 35% for 10s. After a triggered Bloom reaction deals DMG to opponents, their Dendro RES will be decreased by 35% for 10s. First, unlocked the “Court of Dancing Petals” Talent. |
Nilou’s best constellation is the C2, which significantly improves the DMG of Hydro and Dendro characters; this will maximize the attacks of the Dendro Core Teams. It also gains strong debuffs.
The Best Team and Rotation
Nilou undoubtedly benefits from teams that strictly have Hydro and Dendro Genshin Impact characters. You must always keep your enemies with Hydro applied, so teams with two or three Hydro units are ideal because Dendro needs more Elemental Mastery to work well. However, it is easier to create Bountiful Cores with a single Dendro character; make sure that among your Hydro, there is a Healer to heal you from your own attacks. If you have Nilou as DPS, make sure you can use her two dance modes.
F2P | 2 Dendro 2 Hydro | 3 Hydro |
---|---|---|
Nilou – Main DPS Traveler (Dendro) – Sub-DPS Collei – Sub-DPS Barbara – Support | Nahida / Alhaitham – Main DPS Nilou – Sub-DPS Furina / Candace / Collei – Sub-DPS Baizhu / Kokomi/ Yaoyao – Support | Nahida / Alhaitham / Kokomi – Main DPS Nilou – Sub-DPS Xingqiu / Yelan – Sub-DPS Traveler (Dendro) / Barbara – Support |
- To use Nilou with DPS, her rotation will be off-field, and she will set the pace. Nilou starts with her Elemental Skill and switches to a Sub-DPS or Support to activate their Elemental Skill and Burst. Then rotate your DPS until Nilou’s Skill ends.
- To keep Nilou active for a longer time, first, use the Elemental Skill and Burst of your Sub-DPS / Support Dendro. Then apply Nilou’s Elemental Skill, and when it ends, switch to another of your Hydro characters to attack until the Dendro Skill or Bursts ends.
Nilou is an excellent character whose flexible build allows you to adapt to your play style and team in Genshin Impact. If you want to pull for her, you won’t regret having her elegant dance in the middle of your fights.
