If you’re having trouble dealing consistent damage in Genshin Impact, it’s important to work in Elemental Reactions, like Quicken Reaction, to either deal exponentially more damage or, at the very least, increase the amount of damage you do. The thing about Elemental Reactions is that it’s only triggered by specific elements, and Quicken Reaction is designed the same way. More importantly, if your team has the elements Dendro and Electro, then knowing how to trigger Quicken Reaction in Genshin Impact is even more important.

What does Quicken Reaction do in Genshin Impact

Like most of the Elemental Reactions, the Quicken Reaction doesn’t deal damage directly; instead, it applies an effect that you can exploit to deal bonus damage. In the case of the Quicken Reaction, you’re going to need at least one Dendro and Electro-users.

To trigger the Quicken Reaction in Genshin Impact, here’s what you do:

  1. Attack an enemy with either Dendro or Electro. It doesn’t matter what you start with; they’re interchangeable.
  2. Follow up with an attack using the opposite element. If you started with Dendro, follow up with an Electro attack; if you started with Electro, follow up with a Dendro attack.
  3. Now that your target has the “Quickened” effect, use either an Electro or Dendro attack. Again, it doesn’t matter. Both Electro and Dendro trigger a Quicken Reaction when used on a Quickened target.

Depending on what elemental attack you chose during the last step will cause a Quicken Reaction. If you went with Dendro, you’ll trigger Spread; if you use Electro, it’ll cause Aggravate. Either way, you’re dealing bonus Dendro or Electro damage.

Essentially, the goal of triggering a Quicken Reaction is to exploit your target’s elemental weaknesses. In this case, it’s a weakness to Dendro and Electro.
