Nowadays, almost every game with few multiplayer features is susceptible to cheaters. While some might have bigger risks than others, even those without a competitive landscape suffer from people trying to take advantage of others by cheating. Recently, HoYoverse announced its measures against cheats in Genshin Impact, who’ve been using third-party plug-ins to mess with other players. Some users have used certain software to delete items from players’ worlds to prevent them from farming certain things. This is sad to see in a game that is lighthearted at its core and not a competitive multiplayer like other titles.

Genshin Impact Has Banned Cheaters Who Used Third-Party Plug-Ins

Resolution Regarding the Recent Plug-In Usage in #GenshinImpact

Dear Travelers,
It has come to our attention that some Travelers have been using plug-ins to tamper with game data and intentionally disrupt the gaming experience of other Travelers: In Co-Op Mode, they were found… pic.twitter.com/aPMaUDehNu

At first, many users thought the deletion of certain objects in Genshin Impact was due to a glitch. However, HoYoverse proved a third-party plug-in was the culprit, and Genshin Impact cheaters were using it. Thankfully, HoYoverse jumped into the action and tried to stop this as fast as possible. According to the official post, they are already pursuing these cheaters and will take legal action against them, something we think is necessary to stop these people’s behavior.

To avoid Genshin Impact cheaters or anyone else from using third-party plug-ins in their worlds, avoiding co-op for a while is advised. Another way to prevent this is by playing only with people you trust, yet players shouldn’t fear exploring Teyvat. Hopefully, these cheaters will go away soon, and the developers will add new safety measures to prevent this from happening.

In lighter news, though, Fontaine debuted not long ago, and players love every feature that came with it. Besides the fantastic and lovable cast of characters, there are many things to discover in this nation many deem the best of all so far. So, jump into the game to try all the recent events and save your Primogems for the new characters coming soon.
