Best Mourning Flower Farming Locations in Genshin Impact

The Mourning Flower is a local specialty of Sumeru, a rare plant that grows in the hellish confines of the desert. However, in Genshin Impact, the Mourning Flower has a vital use, such as increasing the Ascension level of characters like our favorite architect, Kaveh. This distinguished student of the Kshahrewar Darshan is one of the few who ventures into the desert to admire the beauty of this flower. The research for these items will be well rewarded, so take advantage when exploring these extreme climate areas to gather as many as possible.

Overworld Mourning Flower Locations

Mourning Flowers grow in the Asipattravana Swamp area in the Sumeru Desert, west of Fontaine’s Romaritime Harbour. These flowers appear most readily near bodies of water in the swamp, but many others are underground. So take notes on this map so you don’t get lost.

1. Use the Teleport Waypoint south of Temir Mountains and continue upstream to collect x17 Mourning Flowers.
2. Continue north towards the Statue of The Seven; as soon as the river ends on the left, there will be x2 more flowers.
3. You must go around the mountains or use the tunnels to get to the Asipattravana Swamp. If you have the Teleport Waypoints unlocked, it will be easier to teleport to the Realm of Farakhkert, where the river starts from the west. Before the first Teleport Waypoint on the river, there are x2 flowers; before the next one, there are x11 more Mourning Flowers. A small island with x8 extra flowers is at the river swamp’s end.

Underground Mourning Flower Locations

Sumeru’s caves and tunnels lead to many ruins and complicated paths through the desert. Also, all Waypoints are far apart, and the area has a lot of verticality, so it would be helpful if you already have them all unlocked.

1. Go to the Teleport Waypoint Gavireh Lajavard to enter Tunigi Hollow’s underground tunnels. When you arrive, go to the left side; if it is blocked, use Sorush. At the bottom, there will be x4 flowers.
2. Continue through the tunnel to the ruins and enter the Ruin Guard. There are x5 flowers in the side room on the left. You must also go down the center part of the room to the last floor and continue to the front to find another x2 flowers. There is a last one at the end of that room.
3. You should use another Teleport Waypoint of Gavireh Lajavard, the one near the Iniquitous Baptist. Northeast of the tunnel, you will find two chambers with x6 more flowers.
4. Teleport to Madinat al-Nuhas; you will appear in other ruins. In the rooms on the right side near the water body, there are x5 Mourning Flowers. Go to the end of the ruins; towards Samudra Coast, there are x4 more floors.
5. Look for a small tunnel along the Asipattravana Swamp river to the west; inside, there are x4 more Mourning Flowers.
6. You can use any Teleport Waypoint in Realm of Farakhkert, but the ones to the northeast, near Romaritime Harbour. Both lead to a tunnel where the last x3 flowers are.

Also, to collect many of the Mourning Flowers, you must finish some Wold Quest or the main quest of Genshin Impact. You will also need your Pari to unlock some paths. However, with everything unlocked, you can get up to 80 flowers in at least 30 minutes. An excellent number to upgrade your characters a couple of levels in a day, like from level 20 to 50 approximately.
