It’s been almost a year since HoYoverse suffered the massive concept art leaks, in which there were early designs of many of the characters that would appear in Fontaine. In the images appeared characters who had already made their debuts, such as Sethos, Freminet, Gaming, and Skirk. However, some other concept art of characters has not been revealed and even seemed forgotten. Until now, leaks of a possible Genshin Impact character, supposedly Emilie, are floating around. This name also appeared in the leaked concept art, but the images seem more polished this time than a year ago.
Gorou would no longer be the only one of his kind as a half-dog. In the images, Emilie appears to have canine characteristics, which stand out, such as her Golden Retriever’s ears and bicolor tail like a Beagle. Also, the fact that she is half-dog has a functional reason, not only aesthetic. Since the concept art leaks, there have been rumors that Emilie would work as an alchemist or perfume creator in Genshin Impact, so her great sense of smell would be very useful in creating fragrances. Her profession and the earthy green colors in her design could relate to the Dendro element, but this is not yet clear.
One cannot overlook the unique design elements of Emilie’s character. Her clothing bears clear similarities to other Fontaine characters, with a wide dress, as if she wore many petticoats. Emilie’s outfit has many floral motifs and accessories in the shape of a bone or resembling a dog’s paw. Her wavy ginger hair remains constant, over which she may wear a bow or a green beret. As with all her versions, Emilie has vials as if to carry ingredients.
From the leaks of her design, it’s evident that Genshin Impact fans are eagerly awaiting Emilie’s debut. While some speculate that she might not be a 5-star character, what’s certain is that many are excited to welcome another furry girly girl into the game.
