As part of the Rolling Crossfire event, Genshin Impact players are tasked with helping Frejus and Cheene test out the former’s new remote-controlled cannon in a series of scenarios. But although the stages part of the event are as straightforward as possible, you can get a great deal of Mora, materials, and Primogems by completing optional challenges during each of them. Here’s a guide on how to complete all of the stages part of the Rolling Crossfire event and get all of their rewards in Genshin Impact.

Genshin Impact Rolling Crossfire: Standard Testing First Round Guide
What I like to call the trial stage, there’s no secret to reaching the 3,000 points needed to unlock all of the rewards featured as part of the Standard Testing: First Round stage. Speaking from experience, you will be able to reach the score naturally by making use of the right elemental reactions.
For those having a hard time, however, I recommend that you focus on staying close to the canon for an increase in precision. This is a great help, especially when shooting a Piercing Shell. When shot, the Shell will —as its name implies— piece multiple opponents. It is also key that you remember to keep an eye on the elements of your shots so that you won’t waste them. Make sure to also keep a clear head and remember that panicking is a sure way to waste a shot and lose an opportunity to get a large sum of points, believe me, I know.
All Elemental Reactions on Rolling Crossfire and How to Trigger Them
To help you maximize your damage, here’s what all of the elemental reactions in Rolling Crossfire do, as well as how to trigger them.
- Operation Overload (Pyro + Electro): Causes an explosion that sends the target and those surrounding it flying.
- Frigid Frost (Cryo + Electro): Deals damage and decreases the Elemental Resistance of all targets in a small AoE.
- Aggressive Ablation (Cryo + Pyro): Increases the shot’s damage and AoE. Deals an additional ounce of Physical DMG.
Don’t forget to talk to both Frejus and Cheene either before or after completing the first stage, as I can safely say that the relationship between them may have hooked me in more than the tests themselves.
Stage 2: Stress Testing First Round Guide
Differently from the Standard Testing, the first Stress Testing stage will up the difficulty by allowing slimes to escape after crossing the lower edge of the arena. The stage will also introduce the new Loaded Field gadget, which will pull in all slimes in a large AoE once destroyed.
To go beyond 4.000 points and unlock all of the rewards part of the test, simply focus your fire on the large concentrations of slimes. There’s no need to stress over the small ones escaping, make sure to also only hit the Loaded Field once a considerable number of slimes are on the field to group them and naturally hit all score milestones.
Stage 3: Standard Testing Second Round Guide
The third stage of the event will introduce two new devices to the testing ground, the Simulated Obstacles, and the Solid Strike. While the former will stop any non-piecing shots from reaching targets behind it, the latter will destroy all slimes matching its element once destroyed.
I consider this one to be the easiest test among all of the featured as part of the event (at least currently), as the slimes will not attempt to flee and you will easily go past the 4.000 points needed to get all of its rewards by simply selecting your shots carefully and prioritizing the Solid Strike devices on the field.
Stage 4: Stress Testing Second Round Guide
The fourth overall stage, as well as the second Stress Test part of it, Stress Testing: Second Round can be seen as the last dissertation before the final exam. But that does not mean it will be hard, as given how the stage features the return of the Solid Strike, Loaded Field, and Piercing Shell gadgets, you will be able to reach all of its point milestones by simply prioritizing them and keeping an eye out for the big groups of slimes.
You will not be penalized if slimes escape, so don’t focus too much on the little slimes close to the exit and stay focused on the large targets.
Genshin Impact Rolling Crossfire: Limit Testing Guide
The final stage part of Rolling Crossfire, Limit Testing will put all of your knowledge to the test. As in this stage, you will need to continuously defeat the slimes to increase your timer.
But unfortunately for all who —like me— were hoping that the stage would feature some more hard-to-reach milestones, you will be able to easily reach the 6,000 needed to get all of its rewards by following our usual game plan and focusing on the large groups of slimes. As an extra tip, Piercing Shells can be found way more commonly here, so make sure to activate them whenever possible.
After completing the final stage, don’t forget to talk to Frejus and Cheene to see the in-facto conclusion of the event and get 20 extra Primogems.
You can play Genshin Impact on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PC, and mobile devices.
