Now that things in Natlan are calming down a little, it’s time for an interlude in everyone’s most nostalgic nation: Mondstadt. Genshin Impact is preparing its Version 5.6, which will introduce a new Archon Quest, an event in Fontaine, two new characters, and the return of the Chronicled Wish banner, this time featuring the cast of Inazuma. So, grab your party, prepare your Primogems, and get ready to visit the nation that kicked this adventure off.

Genshin Impact Version 5.6 Launches on May 7th

In case you missed the Special Program for Version 5.6, we’ve included it above. As you can see, the next major update for Genshin Impact will land on May 7th. This time, Travelers will return to Mondstadt for the Windblume Festival, which might not be as peaceful as past iterations. This new Archon Quest will feature a lot of familiar faces, including Albedo, Jean, and new ones like Dahlia and Lady Alice. For lore fanatics out there, this update is going to be huge.

Fontaine’s 5-Star Chef Joins The Fray

Like in previous banners, not only one — but two — new characters are joining the roster. Our new 5-star is Escoffier, the former head chef of the Hotel Debord in Fontaine. She’s a Cryo user who wields the Polearm. Also, Ifa is our new 4-star character who wields the Anemo element and a catalyst. Ifa will bring excellent healing skills to all team compositions, so if you’re lacking some healing power, you should consider getting it. For re-runs, we’ll have Navia alongside Escoffier and Ifa during the first phase, and Kinich and Raiden Shogun for the second phase.

On top of that, the Chevalmarin Film Fantasyland event is coming, and it will task you with running an amusement park. Navia will helm the event alongside other Fontaine and Natlan characters in a crossover we believe is going to be amazing. Plus, there are a lot of rewards coming, so that’s always a good thing. And if that wasn’t enough, a new Weekly Boss is coming, set in a mystical chessboard.

If you want to spend those rewards, the Chronicled Wish Banner is returning with its Inazuma edition. Ayaka, Ayato, Yoimiya, Chiori, Yae Miko, Arataki Itto, Kokomi, and Kazuha will appear on this banner. So, if you want to complete the Inazuma family, now’s a good time to pull.

Overall, Version 5.6 for Genshin Impact is looking great, and it will bring a lot of new and old characters. Whether you want Fontaine’s best chef, Natlan’s dynamic duo, Inazuma’s Archon, or others, you should start saving your pulls for this update.
