This article is over 2 years old and may contain outdated information.

For Genshin Impact, many players find the repetitive grind and exploration a relatively peaceful experience. While fighting monsters or exploring dungeons can seem intense, most of the time, these moments are peaceful and tranquil experiences. Despite this, Genshin Impact can truly become a chaotic experience when you introduce other players to the mix. Some of the most hectic experiences you can have in Genshin Impact involve the game’s co-op mechanic. Between taking goofy photos with your friends, testing out strange combos, or messing around with NPCs, Genshin Impact becomes a completely different game with friends. Now, players have started to push the co-op mechanic to its limits, and have discovered a new Genshin Impact exploit that can actually kill their friends.

As many players know, there is no traditional competitive game mode in Genshin Impact. While there have been a few competitive events in the past, none of these events had players engaging in combat with one another. Though many are content with this lack of competitive gameplay, some players are always looking for ways to fight their friends. Without PvP, these players have had to get creative throughout the years, finding ways to use the game’s environment to dispatch their buddies. As far as these exploits are concerned, this new exploit takes the creativity of killing your friends in Genshin Impact co-op to the next level.

I Thought Genshin Had No PVP…

In a video posted on the Genshin Impact Subreddit, a player shares a new way to mess with your friends. For this glitch, players will need Nahida as their active character and a friend standing near an open flame. While their friend was cooking, this player noticed that by using Nahida’s basic attack, they could spread the flame to their allies. Though this didn’t do much damage, it’s hard to notice that you’re taking damage while stuck in the cooking menus. Despite this, eventually, the friend succumbed to the flames, introducing yet another way to kill your friends in Genshin Impact co-op. This new method isn’t the fastest in the world; however, it’ll be fun to see your friends panic after they thought they would get some peaceful cooking done.

A Genshin PvP Mode Could Be Fun

In the end, while some players love the peaceful moments of Genshin, these moments of chaos are just as impactful to many members of the community. Hopefully, sometime in the future, HoYoverse will pick up on this desire for chaos in Genshin Impact and will add something along the lines of a PvP arena mode in the game. While this is asking for a lot, there should be a big market for a mode like this. A competitive mode in Genshin would give players something to break up the usual PvE grind, similar to what Genius Invokation TCG does. Until then, players will have to stick to causing some chaos in Genshin Impact’s co-op mode, using funny exploits to kill their friends.
