For this year’s Black Friday, Target announced a Swag Bag Giveaway, which would be given out to the first 100 customers at their stores. They promised each bag would contain various store items. What customers found was disappointing, which isn’t the first time, like Target using scummy sales tricks. Some got Uno cards, cookies, and even Beats headphones. In Georgia, things got a little heated when people started fighting at a Target on Black Friday. When a police officer was called to the scene, she put the badge aside and got out the mom voice.
TikToker Mainlyjas got front row tickets to the incident in Savannah. You can see in the video a large group of people standing outside Target. Meanwhile, a police officer is (rightfully) scolding everyone. Apparently, several screaming matches and fights broke out inside the store. She makes it clear they don’t want to be there any more than the customers do.
The officer tells everybody gathered outside the store they just had Thanksgiving with their families, sharing what they’re thankful and grateful for. Then, they decided to go out on Black Friday shopping and fight over deals. She loudly tells the crowd, “We’re not gonna do this. So, whoever thought it would be okay to come here and ruin everyone else’s day, you can leave.”
As she says this, Jas pans around to the expressions of those in the crowd. They all look like ashamed little children. Black Friday sales have been notorious for getting crazy, just for the crazy deals, but that doesn’t mean you should be elbowing others.
The police officer goes on to tell the crowd, “If one more person in this store calls and says that somebody’s fighting over some free [expletive]you already have in the house, I will send you home.” Somebody tries to argue with the officer at this point, but she just shuts them down with her powerful and clearly trained mom voice.
“This the kinda power trip I’m tryna be on,” one commenter joked.
Another person stated, “All this over Uno cards and a sample pack of Nerds Gummy Clusters.” It just goes to show that, when free things are mentioned, people are going to come knocking. And that’s fine, but can we keep it peaceful? Not every Black Friday has to erupt in drama, especially if it causes the police to show up.
